Back in the day Doctors and Lawyers would just file for bankruptcy to wipe out their student debt.


Why just doctors and lawyers?


Because........back then...........it was mostly them who incurred the most student debt.


Now it's almost everybody.


Unless you were going to Harvard or something, most other people were able to put themselves through school by working in the summer and/or having a part-time job during the school year.


Not anymore.


Student loans are a gift and a curse now.


A gift because most people wouldn't be able to go to college otherwise.


A curse because it's also the main reason why tuition is so high to begin with.
