Just got done attending the presentation of an interviewee for a position at the company I work. I'm on the interviewing committee. The interviewee is a sista, so I want to look out for her, but that presentation was brutal. I think she knows her stuff, but she's one of those people that gets real nervous when she presents. She was speaking fast, had to keep drinking water, had this tick where she kept sucking her teeth, mispronounced words, and seemed out of breath the whole time. The worst part was that she had trouble answering what should have been easy questions. Again, I think she knew what she was talking about, but she just seemed so flustered that she had a hard time really taking in what she was being asked. I want to help her out, but the position she's applying for requires quite a bit of presenting to sponsors. I'm not sure if she was just nervous because this was an interview or if she's really just bad at presenting.
