Suicide by guns would go down but, I doubt suicides would go down overall

there'd be an uptick in bridge/building jumping, overdoses, hangings, slit wrists, etc.

I agree. Funny thing about that over the years reading the washington post. Most people actually got a whole less time for stabbing someone to death than the people who shot and killed someone. No matter the circumstances. Shit crazy.

Stabbings would actually rise with no guns. People will always find a way to violently kill folks.
 
What about the army, would they still have guns?

lol bc knives aren't fully illegal..most firearms aren't registered but knifing can get excessive though and is a bit more thorough

Agreed but its all about legality. a gun hommy v a knife hommy carries a different viewpoint..
how many charges for one bullet discharged v one jab of a knife that may hit the same organ(also laws in different states weigh more?

That is the shit that is crazy to me. If both meant to kill someone stabbing them is more fucked up than shooting them to me. Stabbing someone you have to get close to them and push that knife and feel that shit cut through them. People have literally closed their eyes and shot someone from a distance

think of force intended (gun) and intended force(knife)
the knife can be more personal where a gun can be chance.
plus gun charges can be zoned differently..school zone, danger to minors, unlawful discharge...where a knife is measured to see if it fits the length law

I get all those legalities but if the intent is the same all that other shit just don't make sense to me.

Honestly, it never will make sense. Laws are outdated just as the constitution is, but we still have to apply to things that are over 1 t0 200 years old that shouldn't apply to modern times

If nobody has guns tha playing field even...you break in my house you getting this work...it’s not like tha vast majority of people right now not breaking into homes just because tha homeowner might have a gun...it’s just that tha morally corrupt gonna do that whether or not there’s a chance you have a gun or not...in this scenario NOBODY has a gun so that means you breaking in my house wit a knife or a bat or whatever you got I can defend myself a whole lot better than if we both had guns to start with....
