All of the actors delivered. Lupita and Shahadi were amazing. Especially playing their "shadows". Duke did his stuff and I thought he was a funny, yet convincing character.

I think I spent too much time looking instead of just watching. I was too busy trying to figure the movie out instead of just enjoying it. I still enjoyed it and will probably catch an early showing during the week. First impression 7/10.

After learning the twist, this was actually disturbing. The whole movie you're rooting for the family only to be gut punched by the reveal.
I heard a few people laugh when Red first spoke inside the house but you gotta think when the last time she had to use English.
Only English she knew is stories read to her and the movies she watched that was next to the TV.[\b]
Which those movies pretty shaped her thinking, Chud being the clear reason.
Still trying to figure out if the movie that was next tv, called The Right Stuff plays a part too.
Once we see the reveal, we understand why she was really scared. It wasn't trauma from the experience but extreme guilt.
That's why she was so paranoid when Jason couldn't be found.
I got a few more that I'm still trying to piece together.

her clone choked her out in the house of mirrors. that could’ve damaged her vocal chords

So the movie The Right Stuff is also sitting next to the TV.I didn't see it.

I used to like that movie as a kid,but Idk what the connection is to the plot off the bat.

You were either paying attention big time or you've already watched the movie more than once. Either way everything you've posted makes tons of sense. Keep dropping those gems!

@#1hiphopjunki3 A lot of shit I peeped while watching, then I watched the bootleg and saw some review videos and smoked some weed and zoned out.

I can't take credit for some of those easter eggs, but I had some questions I wanted answered when I walked out so I got to searching and thinking on it.

It was ok but I doubt I ever watch it again. The dad was corny, I got the white man vibe from him.
He's a suburban dad lol. All suburban dads regardless of race be acting like that.

Idk why niggas mad like this make them look weak or something. Lupita actually knew what was going on so she had to take the "lead." The son was the one who figured everything out.

I'm going to catch it again but like I stated earlier I missed some of it due to being buzzed. I slept great in that recliner. Lol. But I looked up some stuff also and it made sense to me what your theories and the other folks theories

I saw the movie last night completely sober then made the mistake of this sample loud from afghani edible dealer shit had me up all night putting shit together I’m still missing a few pieces but I got it

This movie creeped me out. The clone kids especially. When ppl walk on all 4s it creeps me tf out and them creepy ass smiles are gonna stay with me for a couple days. Onto my thoughts about the movie...

I thought the Jeremiah 11:11 guy would be like the 'white jesus' figure...jesus was a prophet who bridged the gap between people and God. So in this context the gap between the portal of humans and clones. But then that begs the question what brought that guy to be there with that specific verse leading to that funhouse. And was that guy a human or a clone?

'Above' lupita had imposter syndrome. She wanted to maintain the lie. Shes a clone and didnt wana be found out. She suppressed it when she went 'above' so that was her killing them metaphorically. Killing them physically and making sure they were dead was an extension of that. That's also why she wasn't as scared as everyone else and why she could just go off alone doing shit cuz she knew what was happening. She didnt have the first instinct to run. She wanted them to be dead.

The son figured out something was off with her when he saw her OD killing the white clone and made those grunt noises. And then he knew for sure when she killed Red cuz she started laughing...she switched back to just being a feral animal real quick and couldn't cover it up.

What did the Black Flag shirts mean?
I wonder how the clone white twins knew how to do cartwheels and shit. Cuz the other clones couldn't fully move like humans yet.

I still haven't seen an explanation on what the doppelgangers were meant for in the first place.

Why was the lil son the only one able to control his doppelganger once they got to the surface??

that Jeremiah 11:11 Bible verse is the following apparently: "Therefore thus saith the Lord, Behold, I will bring evil upon them, which they shall not be able to escape; and though they shall cry unto me, I will not hearken unto them."

Oh yea I was gonna say that but forgot. Red lupita was Jeremiah. Or whoever said that passage since it's obviously a revenge mission.
