The attached article is pretty good but I read somewhere that pools were segregated up until the late 70's early 80's in some places.

Avaerage lesson cost $20 to $ dollars maybe a bit more for private lessons.

Drowning is a serious thing and even if you don't care you should make sure your children do.

A life saving thing is overrated? Even if you believe that (which I hope you don't) I hope you don't share that with your kids who may go on a field trip or at someplace with a pool,lake or ocean and not know how to swim.

Never needed to know how, I ain't jumping in any ocean, lake or pool where I can drown.

I like water activities, my lack of swimming doesn't stop me from doing them. I get in the ocean chest deep with no care in the world.
I would like to learn though.

The most fucked up part is my old man was a marine and can swim like a fish, and the rest of my family can swim as well.
