the plan was to get some wings for the game sunday, but i've had some pretty terrible luck securing some from the local wing spots here

SO, i think this year, i'm gonna try and do my own. One year, i didnt get wings until the second half started. It was the year the SB was in NOLA and the lights turned off lol.

i dont wanna fry any b/c i dont like the smell of grease in my house, so im thinking of baking some...Anybody got any good recommendations?

I've been on youtube trying to find a recipe, but im open to suggestions

I just buy a big bag of "naked/flavorless" chicken wings from costco or something. Let them thaw. Then ill put on a baking sheet and spice them up.

I like to cook different flavors separately, i will do one batch with just carne asada seasoning. 375 Degrees, cook for about 40 minutes. Flip them halfway through and drain the juice that builds up in the baking sheet. At 75% cook time I will take them out and toss them in franks red hot or whatever sauce you'd and maybe add another brush of sauce before they finish.

I fucks with Garlic Parm wings heavy: http://allrecipes.com/recipe/234405/garlic-parmesan-wing-sauce/

@AP21 another good Low Carb party snack you may want to try: Bacon Wrapped Jalepeno Poppers.

Sorry i cant recall if you were one of the folks that didnt eat pork

Easy and CHEAP af.

Protein Shake Idea. This is for a meal replacement, so it will include things that provide calories and fat/protein for a quick meal.

I prefer a sugar free/low carb protein powder.

Strawberry or Raspberry flavor Protein powder

2 oz cream cheese

2tb Flax Meal

2tb Chia Seeds

1 and 1/4 cup of Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk

1/2 to 1 full cup of Raspberries/Strawberries depending on how much Carbs you are willing to ingest.

Couple drops of Vanilla Extract

To start out, pour in the almond milk and the chia seeds. Let the chia seeds sit in the almond milk for a few minutes. They develop a gelatinous coating. After letting the seeds soak for maybe 2-5 minutes, add in the other ingredients and blend until smooth. You will then have yourself a High Fat, Moderate Protein, Low Carb Fiber loaded meal replacement. Full of essential Vitamins and Minerals.

I am going to try this...

My body doesn't agree when I take whey protein straight up.

I am going to do lactose-free milk, flax meal, and maybe chia seeds?

Are the chia seeds overkill? Wouldn't the flax meal be sufficient enough?

i think we have a winner!!!

OOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHH meant to report

these came out PERFECT!!!!

My oven doesnt cook as hot, so i had to eyeball the times b/c they werent as crispy using the time recommended in the video, but the process is PERFECT!!!

Made some lemon pepper wings. I aint never going back to wing stop

Started taking my whey protein shakes with milk.

Tolerating these shakes a lot better now.

Guess it is due to the milk's casein and other contents slowing down the whey's digestion.

By the way, I am taking these shakes for general health, not for post-work out purposes.

It probably explains why I had an initial bad reaction with water, due to the absorption being too fast.

When I was working out a few years ago, I wasn't into taking workout supplements, but eating good whole foods.

So excuse my ignorance on the aforementioned topic. A nigga just followed the label exactly, LOL.

my sister recommended this documentary called cowspiracy. Its supposed to document the dangers of dairy b/c of the biproducts from cows being used to make the products.

gon check it out

Oh shit, this looks good af.

add baking powder with the seasoning when baking chicken wings. it draws out the moisture and give you that crisp.

You lost me at the almond milk... will it still come out good if you use a non fat or skim milk option?

Dunno, ive never tried skim or non fat milk. Wont really be able to tell its even almond milk because of the protein powder and raspberries though.
