What happen at lil wayne show
He was closing a music fest in atl and 5 songs into his set a fight broke out.

This lead to a panick and a human stampede. The venue was evacuated. Multiple injuries but none serious.

Someone musta saw or thought they saw a gun. But no shots were reported.

Is the Carter 4 a bad album or just not up to Wayne standards?

Because I seen some you dudes here so Culture 2 was nice. I seen y’all give Young Thug props. I seen Carbi B get a good rating on “her” album and countless other dudes that have not put out a better album than C4

C4 is a bad album to me. Was a chore to get through when it dropped. Didn’t like any of the singles besides John. Blunt Blowin the only album cut I still listen to.

Revisited it about 2 years ago felt the same. Way too much of Wayne trying to go back to the well of previous songs. Like there’s a few records where you listen and say this sounds like he wanted to remake another _________ and it just wasn’t it.

In comparison to Culture 2 it honestly would come down to which album you liked the singles from more. Because both albums are all over the place in continuity and filled with randomness. I didnt like Culture 2 as a whole just a handful of songs.

Cardi album isn’t some great rapping but it’s not excessively long. Produced well and flows track to track nicely.

So to use films as a comparison. C4 is a film where the leading actor is legendary but the script has a bunch plot holes, drags at certain points, was a 2 hour flick should’ve been 1:25 etc.

whereas Cardi shit would be on some good action movie shit you came for the explosions and fights(strip club music and catchy shit). Script wasn’t great but wasn’t bad either. Didn’t have to long of a running time only 48 mins. Easy watch. She executed well for what she does.

Man I'm happy for Wayne's success, what's crazy about it is it shows you the mindframe of fans I remember on the IC fighting niggas over them saying "Wayne is done" SMMFH. Like how ignorant is that to say a 30 something year old rapper as distinguished as Wayne is can be "finished" ? All the naysayers got quiet as fuck when C5 came out and the dope shit about it is not only did it sell very well but musically it was well put together and critically acclaimed too.

That mindset tho of fans is why rap didnt have as much longevity as rock and its stars. Rappers get better with time and if you sing that song that a rapper can be too old to make music then imo you a guest in Hip Hop because you're waiting for artists to drop one album or song disappear and then get replaced by someone else. I'm gonna be listening to rap music well into my 90s and 100s IDGAF.
I can't speak for the others, but my disagreement with your IC statements was less to do with commercial success and more to do with critical success. Wayne could easily drop a Carter every year for the next 10 years and probably get at least a gold plaque off each one, but would they be anywhere near as good as the first 2 Carters? I doubt it

This nigga AP been trying his best for 2 weeks straight, U gotta applaud this nigga's effort

:hahaha:

Trying to do what exactly?

You being mad sensitive right now

I saw it on my timeline, read it, thought it was an interesting article and wanted to share

I mean did you even read the article? It was praising and applauding him

I might not like his album as much as you do but I'm not in here like two people were in the Lupe thread. I ain't gotta like his album to applaud him for overcoming setbacks in his life

They aren't mutually exclusive
