Please spare a prayer or a positive thought for my dad, who will have open heart surgery in mid April (date tbd).

My dad consulted a second opinion and has decided to forego the surgery for now and try noninvasive treatment first because his condition (atrial fibrillation) is on the very mild side and medicine is likely to offer adequate symptom relief. Surgery will only be the last resort.
