Welcome To aBlackWeb

What was your first console growing up

Nintendo 64 lol. Used to go to my friend's crib when I was younger to play on his Super Nintendo

First one I owned was PS2. I won it in a raffle at work when I was around 21-22. Played NES, Super Nintendo, Genesis, and PS1 at other people's houses growing up though.

Since then I've bought Wii, XBOX 360, PS3, PS4, PS VR, and Switch for myself and the kids.

NES ftw.

Nintendo had so many damn games. Was in Blockbuster pretty much every Friday night.

Shout out to Double Dribble and Metroid. The 1st NES games I saw being played

First one I really played tho for real was the original NES. Mario and duck hunt. I remember the lil Olympic game that came with the trackpad shit too lol
People use to be on their knees next to the trackpad beating on it with their fists, lol.

Have the damn gun on the screen shooting the ducks. Most disappointing thing was not being able to shoot the dog cause everyone tried or acted like they were.

I had a game called bump n Jump
Spy Hunter ninja gadien

Shout out to Super Mario Bros. 2

I remember how mad my mama got after I lost the 60 bucks she gave me to buy the game. Smh.

Finally was able to get it at the local flea market

Was disappointed to learn later on that super Mario 2 was just a Mario skin placed over another game that was already out in Japan which is why the shit was a complete departure from the first one

Thing is, I like the SMB2 we got more than the real one (which was included on the SNES's Super Mario All Stars). The real 2 was hard as shit, but it really wasn't interesting with the game play mechanics like the US SMB2.

Hell I didn't care even when I 1st found out.

It was different. Different enemies...different bosses...different abilities for each character. Loved it. Final boss wasn't the usual Bowser. They need to bring that King Toad back.
