devin gotta be up there with e40 as garbage ass niggaz i simply don't understand how niggaz seeriously listen to let alone think highly of these niggaz...

i don't think i've ever in my life given one artist more chances and honest listens than devin the dude...

i have forced myself through hours of this niggaz music and can't tell you the name of one of his songs, or still make any sense of the appeal whatsoever..

this is not to diss anyone, even though i know yall gonna take this to heart.. but that nigga dookie grits

He's a legend

But I don't think a lot of yall know what the definition of what a veteran is
why dont you share with the class South what it means to be a veteran

let me say, i dont think we are going by the textbook definition of what a veteran is, but i think i know what goldie was attempting to do

he probably should've used tiers like gold, silver, etc...

I get it his music isn't for everybody

But hes been in Hip-Hop since 94, critically acclaimed albums(by Hip Hop heads as whole), apart of the Chronic 2001 album and Up In Smoke Tour

There's a reason why Jay reached out to him personally to be one of the few features on the first Best of Both Worlds album

Like I said you don't have to be a fan of his music but to say his not a Hip Hop veteran is flat out dumb

i told you i knew what the actual definition of veteran was, but i dont think goldie was using that as a measuring stick

@Goldie, maybe you can shed some light

Then I dont understand how someone with 20 plus years of experience can't be considered a veteran especially someone whose as widely respected as Devin

if we are going by that definition, then everybody listed unless they have come out in the last 5 years or so, is going to either be legend or veteran, and i dont think thats what Goldie was going for, but still...waiting on him to chime in

I gave him the Legend badge not because of top albums or lyrics, but because of the integrity of his run

30 years and never switched up and did no pop shit to get on radio...he always did what he wanted to do

from alien songs to playing different characters in his songs and rapping for them, to the funny ass stories about being broke and hittin fat chicks

never been anyone like him and there never will be...he's the dude

In my opinion everyody we've done so far is at least a veteran

Cam been it since what? 97 he' not a veteran?

Beans been in it since the early 2000s? He's not a veteran?

Being a legend is subjective but I really dont know how else you can define veteran lol

Tech 9 veteran, Lil Keke veteran, AZ veteran, E-40 veteran, Lil Wayne veteran, Twista veteran, O.C veteran, Fat Joe veteran, Ludacris veteran, The Game veteran, Z-Ro veteran, Nelly veteran, Lil Kim veteran

I listed random artist just to show show how simple it is to me and how I
I define veteran

Yea i was pretty much using as what the definition says. Just making the point that just cuz you've been around for a long time doesn't mean you're a legend. So in hindsight there's really no need for the "neither" option.
