Voice Memo Guy

I am, and they not showing up to AAU tournaments and 7 on 7 bumping Brent that weekend.

After the games in the hotels, they not bumping Brent

They're not at these parks bumping Brent
You do realize them DJs be catering to the parents. I realized youth basketball and football is more for the adults than the kids....

And thats because for young men...theyre not r&b target audience.

Checkmate.

My point that I was saying but you and Du are on this music is everywhere.
Not the discussion

If the youngest are not listening to these dudes, they are listening to the tricking, fuck on you chick, etc, how do you think most will act around chicks or towards chicks?
And that may be the sexy and cool thing for them to act that way.

My point is niggas 11-19 not pulling up to AAU, 7 on 7 or out and about in spaces where they be bumping R&B

Most are on YB, Baby etc

22-28 most black dudes are not on that tip either. Some may dibble and dabble into some other shit and then I would ask, is it some sexy and cool shit or is it some aggressive content?

Or they listening to some Maxwell type or D'ANGELO and I would say no they are not.

Listening to try and fuck over a bitch over in C Flat is still making my point

Bruh, the numbers clearly show these rnb young black men get just as many streams as the young black rappers....

They get the same amount of streams and exposure.

The youth is clearly aware of both. This has been proven by streams.

But if a nigga make the choice to go savage, that's his choice. The option to be a cool/chill nigga is always there..... Those niggas are just as popular... So this notion of the average nigga having to be savage just isn't true based off the numbers alone..... You wrong bruh. This is not a checkmate.. Niggaz have examples and choices.. Pretending the average nigga doesn't is choosing to ignore the facts right in front of you

Nobody is misunderstanding your point. Your point is just limited. They may not be the target for r&b but for 1 thats not the only music with the cool guy archetype. And 2...not being the target dont mean you're not aware. At 15 I wasn't the target audience for Usher but I knew girls liked him so guess what song got put on mix cds? I wasn't the target audience for Jagged Edge singing "Promise" but my gf at the time loved the song...so guess what got played when she was around? Young men when trying to impress a lady will gravitate towards what those young ladies like. You asked if young dudes would pick Lil Baby over Brent Fyas...they going to whichever one has the most young ladies at despite what they may personally like. They don't give a damn either way.

Like you can't pretend the most popular young black men are limited to Lil baby and YB when Tyler got 39m streams and he does just as much rnb and weird shit as he does rap... And trust me young niggas fuck with Tyler... He's another one of their goats....and he's definitely not fitting the mold you tryna paint the generation in.

My whole point is, they are not limited.... There are examples of non savage nigga representation

Limited? OK lol.

My point is this other type exist...but my point is, these teens not fucking with it which is shifting their minds on viewing women. Not all

I said our era was different, we had some assholes but there was a blueprint where you can go to and be or learn how to be sexy and cool.

Today, for the youth, there isnt one.

Yall brought up Brent and I said, your average 11-19 year old isn't playing Brent or heavily consuming this artist.

YB or Lil Baby is what's being played. Especially when they are outside and around their peers.

If they are on the game...PS5, online, they are not playing Brent

Also, the content of music is not teaching or showing these dudes how to be sexy and cool

Brotha the average black male 10 year knows Lil Baby and YB, they don't know no dayum Brent lol

And niggas wasn't listening to the equivalent of Brent Fiyas playing PS2 with their homies in 1999 either. If they was at the park and somebody had a radio or their car stereo playing you think niggas was bumping Tevin Campbell while playing ball? You think niggas was bumping B2K Bump Bump Bump" riding around with their friends at 16-17 in their 1st car?

Them not knowing who these folks yall bringing up is not me limiting them or anybody else..they dont know them because they know them lol.

Brotha right now, you can go on Saturday to your local Youth 7/8 under football league games and I bet you over 60 of those kids know YB or Lil Baby

Can you in your heart say that 60 percent would know who the hell Brent is?

GTA5 one of the biggest games of all time had a whole DLC that the highlight was the studio session with Anderson Pakk

Niggas can easily CHOOSE to follow this style and trend example. There are far too many popular young black men that are heavily followed to pretend every body wanna be a thug. They can be as cool or as savage as they wanna be... It's all out there

You done changed the age group like 26 times in this thread.

Until you play a bunch of different songs for a class, you can't say shit about what kids do or don't listen to.

At my son's 8th grade sneaker ball.... They played a variety of music, because contradictory to your limited view.... These kids do have a variety of music to listen to.

You starting to sound like a racist white person that's trying to stereotype all thing black kids.... They listen to more shit than just lil baby and YB... It's been proven, it can continue to be proved...

You just don't wanna accept it

Lets put this in context. You say things without having the proper context in place

Tevin been away in 1999. I wanna say he came back in 96 or 98 with Come Back to the World single

Lets rewind to when he was hot..
1994, 93, 95...the radio.

Tevin was on the radio, niggas was listening to Tevin.
Tevin was on countdowns, BET soul..niggas saw Tevin

Going outside, in real time. No..during that time...niggas has walkmans or big ass speakers...1 or 2 people at the basketball park and it was mostly rap being played there
But niggas 11 and 19 knew who Tevin was...hell kids 5 and 6 knew who Tevin was

Again proper context, 1999. You wasn't online and name the male RB artist in 99 like a Brent and lets compare both artist outlook

Not sure why you chose the year 1999 but ok.

Bruh, I'm thinking the youth leagues you going to are the problem... It's definitely the adults

Cuz kids listen variety of shit. You don't have any kids, so you can't speak to what they listen to when they pick the music. You talking about environments where adults are choosing the music...

Knock - Who are the artist that's lacing young dudes up on game to be sexy and cool.

Yall- Man it's plenty, its a lot of artist that's sexy and cool

Knock - Name them

Yall- Well shit I'm 60. Ion listen to that young shit

Smh lol

Yall man

Hol up.....I KNOW you not tryna argue niggas back in the day was tryna be like Tevin Campbell

I literally named niggas and how many streams they had. It's comparable.

I literally listed names I pulled off a 15 year olds play list, and you changed the age 5 more times
