Voice Memo Guy

Literally moving the goal posts, you all over the place.

You can't compare their music to our parents music.

And completely skip over our generation in terms of impact.

Our music would have the same impact on them that our parents music had on us.

So what music from our generation do you want to compare?

Again Usher still touring.... Nice and slow definitely a classic song that provides a smooth vibe.... Why not use that example... You brought up Marvin Gaye, why not James Brown papa don't take no mess??

Bruh just concede and say you were wrong
Lol.

You and i know Jeremiah aint talking bout love shit or loving your girl throughout his album like Marvin.
Nigga prolly dont have a song in the realm of loving your woman.

Smh

But keep going brotha lmao

So instead of using the examples from our generation that would more accurately try to fit into your narrative, you skipped over a whole generation and asked who's their Marvin Gaye without even establishing who's our Marvin Gaye for reference.

You tell me who's our generations Marvin Gaye since you wanna use the specific example.

Who do you feel that came up in our generation that carried the same weight with our parents. And why not use James Brown. That was my father's favorite artist.. Why not Rick James, that was my aunt's. I heard more James Brown, Rick James, Parliament, and shit like that when I was a kid.
I heard brick house way more times than sexual healing.

Lets put this in context. You say things without having the proper context in place

Tevin been away in 1999. I wanna say he came back in 96 or 98 with Come Back to the World single

Lets rewind to when he was hot..
1994, 93, 95...the radio.

Tevin was on the radio, niggas was listening to Tevin.
Tevin was on countdowns, BET soul..niggas saw Tevin

Going outside, in real time. No..during that time...niggas has walkmans or big ass speakers...1 or 2 people at the basketball park and it was mostly rap being played there
But niggas 11 and 19 knew who Tevin was...hell kids 5 and 6 knew who Tevin was

Again proper context, 1999. You wasn't online and name the male RB artist in 99 like a Brent and lets compare both artist outlook

Not sure why you chose the year 1999 but ok.

Because you mentioned playing video games and I thought about when the ps2 came out. No more no less. That didn't mean the entire post was about that year hence me mentioning artist from the 90s through 2000s. And you just proved you agree with my point. Groups of young men wasn't out then and they not out now bumping r&b music when they're kicking it. So continuing to ask what teens and young men are listening to when you already know the answer is redundant.
