Himself.

I will second the portable car battery jumper. I had to use mine more than a few times and it was very convenient.

A gun of some sort. You just never know when you may need it. It would suck to need one but instead have to wait for help that may be too late.

I used to carry a pocket knife in elementary and jr high. It was pretty small but had a blade, a tiny pair of scissors that was sharp as shit, a file, a plastic toothpick that slid out the body, and a flathead screwdriver in it. A lot of us carried them back in those days. Today that shit would get you expelled and arrested.

I started carrying one again in college, then added a balisong to my EDC in my 3rd year.

Nah, find a random old head over here Stateside and ask him if he's got a pocket knife on him and I'd be willing to bet you'll hear "yes" more times than not. Shit was almost a requirement way back inna day. A whole lot of us grew up carrying one.


Goddammit I just found the one I used to carry when I was a kid. I was mistaken tho; it had tweezers, not a flathead (I think the one I had in college had the flathead).
