You don't have to be a model citizen free of mistakes or stand up and point out something is wrong everytime you see it because you agree with a stance someone has on an issue and/or formed an opinion of your own.

Same as you can not listen to the song. If you got such an issue with that type of behavior being promoted then why engage in it at all? Ive heard that song in its entirety once. Sometimes you can't help it hearing it even when you're actively not trying to participate. Me individually choosing to listen or not to listen to a song/artist doesn't stop the song/artist from being promoted or being problematic.

Again you don't have to do all things to have validity in saying one thing.
