This a lot of back and forth for something clearly black and white. The song is catchy and has a good beat, which makes it infectious. It is the song of the summer, and a huge moment for Caresha, who we all thought was cooked after puff.
All that said, The message is garbage, the lyrics are garbage, it does prop up and glamorize the same ideals we all shoo our kids away from. Acting like its anything else is a weak ass attempt to seem cool and yall gotta chill.
Ain't no world where the message is good, black folks, culture, or otherwise. Its a reason the chorus sounds that way, it was workshopped to be the cute catchy song for kids and TikTok
.
If you don't care about any of that, then thats fine. But acting like its not real just because you may like the song is reckless.
