Big Bill is leaving AEW

Fightful Select reported earlier this year that Big Bill’s AEW contract was coming up during the Summer. Fightful Select has confirmed that his deal is up over the next week. In addition to that, Bill officially gave his notice to All Elite Wrestling.

Big Bill is poised to return to WWE, where he performed as Big Cass for a number of years. In addition, plans call for Enzo Amore to be signed by the company, though he wasn’t officially inked to a deal as of mid-June. The word from within WWE was that the company wanted to make sure to wait until Big Bill was free and clear and sign both wrestlers.

WWE reportedly chose NOT to have Oba Femi challenge for a World Title at SummerSlam for one major reason

Despite winning the 2026 Men’s King of the Ring Tournament, WWE is reportedly building toward a gigantic showdown between Oba Femi and Roman Reigns and wants to hold off until the moment feels as big as possible

Internally, there is reportedly a strong belief that Oba Femi is “The Guy” and the company’s next breakout megastar that will lead them into the future

It was also noted that WrestleMania 43 in Saudi Arabia has been discussed as a potential stage for The Ruler Vs The Tribal Chief

It’s not outta the realm of possibility that they face each other before hand and he takes a L. Rather that happens then they try to pull that shit at Mania. If Oba gets the title shot at say Money in the Bank, and him getting screwed leads to a program that keeps him busy until he wins the Rumble or Elimination Chamber than it’s not the end of the world.

They do gotta address the title shot shit sooner than later and not forget about it.

They aren’t gonna blow this match off at any PLE that isn’t Mania. They would have just done it here for SummerSlam if that was the case.

Nah they were gonna do Mania initially at the Superdome before decided on doing Vegas again. Once they changed it up & gave Nawlins MITB they decided on Smoothie King
