2025-26 NBA Season Thread: Back to Agenda Watching!

Added to Calendar: 10-21-25

You’re making it seem like I was wound up

I really was asking what does this have to do with the current argument

I didn’t know it was you going off on a tangent

Also don’t play me like I was waiting for the day someone brought up hibbert

Somebody said something nonsensical and I leapt into action that’s all
i feel you lil bro

Let’s relax there buddy

The pacers have consistently in the mix for the past 30 years

They’ll be right there as a 7th seed next season

Pacers going to regret not resetting after things after the Haliburton injury

It was a good run but the league moves fast

I dont see the upside with them than being a playin/bottom tier playoff team

I did this Roy Hibbert shit when I said Duren the new Roy Hibbert like 2 weeks ago.

Ever since then it's been Roy Hibbert talk.

I would take it back if I could.

Small bump in the road

They’ll be competitive

From 1 game away from winning the finals to being competitive

I look at things from the lense of how can you be a top 4 seed in your conference

7/8 seed seems like their ceiling

I dont think this team is going to be that good going forward.....competitive yes

They shouldve been trying to get younger, not older

Thats why this trade was so dumb....Assuming Haliburton is healthy you're never going to pick this high again

You need to get some more young high level talent with upside in the door

Billy Donovan is selling his home I guess it’s really over
Btw
I didn’t know bro lived in Lincoln Park
Its been over buddy.

Yeah they aren’t a contender but for a team like the pacers they have been perfectly fine being in the mix as a 6-8 seed

I’m going by their general philosophy

Even if they go through a down period or another year, in the grand scheme they are still fine

The only player they need to worry about is Hali and even with another year of mediocrity he will be 27 so it’s not that big of a deal

It’s not a huge rush

How @southsil4lil expects every team except his to carry it when things don't shake their way...

But thats the point Im making....you're saying they'll be ok if if they have another down year

Whats the plan? How do you go from 7/8 to a top 4 team in your conference?

You're never going to be this bad again to draft someone and free agents arent going to Indiana....they do own most of their picks going forward so a trade is the most likely

Trading for your pick back like two weeks before your franchise player blows out their achilles was such a blessing and they squandered it on Zubac(who I do like)

Siakam and Zubac going to be in their 30s this season....I would be trying to have a younger core around Haliburton so he doesnt have to do as much

Siakam is 32 and Zubac and 29 and are both in their primes

Siakam got another 2 seasons of high level play and then he can get on

They already messed up their chance at a younger draft pick but it’s cool bro

Pacers can still be a 4th seed with some moves in the next couple of years

It’s not dire

I think teams need as many bites at the apple as possible especially small market teams..... now the Pacers have all their eggs in the Tyrese Haliburton basket and have to hope he's close to what he was.

This conversation would be irrelevant if they got Zubac and the top 4 pick....they gambled and lost bad though

I do think they acquired Zubac though with the thought of if it doesnt workout he could easily be flipped again something else

This isn't the same eastern conference that they left when healthy and its going to get better this summer

We'll see what they do though and how they approach the next year

In two years the pacers could be the best team in the east with a Tyler Herro/Tyrese Haliburton backcourt

We will just have to see

Plz confirm that Nets one
Anything is better than the shit we got right now

By the way @southsil4lil I’m hearing Acuff’s name thrown around the 6th pick. What you think? Idk anything about him just read that he’s a PG (we have that In abundance) and he could be an elite scoring guard.

That would be a good pick, his measurements actually came back better than expected at the combine which is good for his defense....his wing span is actually really solid

If hes available at 6 definitely take him
