Official Wrestling News Thread

Santos Escobar is still with WWE.

After a performance at AAA this weekend, outlets ran with a false news report that Santos Escobar was "quietly moved to the alumni section of WWE's website." That isn't true whatsoever, as Escobar has been on that section since his WWE contract originally expired last year. He re-signed shortly after and was never moved back to the roster page. WWE actually confirmed with Fightful in the last week that he is still with the company.

Regarding questions about his performance at AAA, we haven't heard anything that contributed to that specifically. We did hear in recent weeks that Escobar wished that he was used better and would actually be utilized. Escobar was fine with leaving WWE if he needed to originally, but WWE made a big play to sign him. At the time, it was claimed in WWE that he was signed for an amount that would have been irresponsible to not have him featured on WWE TV.

He's expected to continue work in AAA. There was a lot of talk coming out of this weekend's AAA event with what one AAA talent called a "lethargic performance" from Escobar

Luchador forums and subreddits say he was spotted partying pretty hard in Puebla the night before, so he was likely hungover.

His behavior is common in lucha scenes, but uncommon on American television.

Garza: “No matter what happens, we keep fighting. Because that’s the legacy Los Garza were built on.”

Fan: “Say it louder for the people in the back.”

Garza: “Support us louder.”

Fan: “You need to find something that the crowd will care about, no idea what it could be maybe a sound, a few words, a taunt, something that will generate interest from that tough american crowd and once you got that everything will work well.”

Garza: “That’s either the give you a cool (the music) or have constant time on tv to be able to have that connection.”

Ronda with that pointing shit again lol

Ronda Rousey should be no where near pro wrestling.

Her one contribution was her name helping propel the women’s title match to main event Mania 35 and that’s honestly it.

I get she’s probably only there to hype up her comeback fight but eh…

Well considering how Vince almost ruined his career and how hard he had to work to get his rep back, I don’t blame him for having high remarks for TK. But yall embrace tribalism like TKO pay yall
That man just wasn't interesting as a character, he was just masked dude #3
