How much you spending on a first date thats fair in 2026?

Living in a foodie city helps...

There are so many spots known for specialty dishes.... And like everybody on social media is a food critic these days. All you gotta do is search out those kinda spots... And you'll find a good one in like 10-20 mins.

Yeah, I can definitely see me taking a chick to our regular spot.... The food good, they got touch tunes, I know all the bartenders, and everybody in there knows if they see someone in there with a new person with them what the deal is

Do yall ever feel bad when you take someone somewhere purposely because it’s cheap. And they become overwhelmed at the selection, the cost, and the environment and there’s the moment where you wonder.

Am I really ok, and this has just become so normal to me that it’s underwhelming?

Or has this person never been with someone who was capable of, or cared to do this?

Is this a plus that I can ride out? Or is this a red flag to bail and leave them with the check?

This.

There's so many local spots out here with a huge variety of ethnic foods that I'd never have to take a chick to a chain restaurant for a date and there's even more spots in Detroit and the suburbs.

I only go places we will both enjoy. I never really understood planning a date where only one person is gonna enjoy it. I make several suggestions and they pick from those suggestions. Usually based on their likes or interests but something i dont mind doing as well. Then I plan the date.
