This team is more than an offseason away from fixing. Embiid is due 58M next season. I'll take two reliable players at 29M each and be just as competitive. Just bcuz you are the best the franchise has had in 20 years doesn't mean you should continue to try your luck at something that isn't working. They haven't even got out of the second round. The Franchise player is approaching 500 games missed. There is no conclusive data that shows that he is their ticket to the promised land. I guarantee the person who buys the team is getting rid of Embiid. It's a business at the end of the day.

In a perfect world, Biid is the man. PG is the second man, and Maxey is a third option. It's not a perfect world tho. It's funny how yall keep blaming just the FO for this team, but were quiet af when that same FO gave Embiid a contract extension coming off a knee surgery. Imagine giving Harden some of that money and Maxey playing his natural position. The team isn't constructed right bcuz of the lack of some sort of salary balance. Nobody is winning with 3 max players and salary filler for the rest of the roster.

I was just reading he's eligible for a 250m contract extension in the summer. I was wondering how that will play out.

There was a time when Amen was a no brainer lock to receive the max but he hasn't developed into that and to give him that kind of money right now would be insane

Sengun didn't get the max, Jalen didn't get the max, Bari didn't get the max.....the one thing our front office has done very well is negotiating these second contracts and getting team friendly deals
