I hate to say it, but Philly is in shambles when Joel sits out. Personally, I think he's checked out. There's hurt, and then there's where he's at. He BEGGED management not to be cheap this year, and they turn around and trade McClain for NO OTHER REASON than to duck the Luxury Tax.

I think that was the final straw. Eventually he'll play, but he knows that ownership isn't serious about winning anything major. They're getting drop kicked to the play-in by season's end, and he's gonna want out after the season.

Sixers can get two solid players for his salary. They could play everyday and you can figure out a better way to fill out the rest of the roster moving forward. Get rid of PG too and now 70% of your salary cap ain't tied to players who can't even play on a regular basis.

The process didn't work. The team is designed around a player who is broken and their big FA acquisition is washed.A young guard playing out of position who is supposed to replicate the production of an former MVP but doesn't get to rest like a former MVP or benefit from playing with a full lineup, a gifted rookie who has clearly hit the rookie wall and a journyman 3 and D guy who is supbpar at both, and a former two way player of just a week ago.

I'm still tuning in tho.
 
We're going to agree to disagree. I don't see two players coming in and fixing this mess in the offseason, and the Sixers brass are willing to let the best player in the last 20 years of this franchise walk when he was having a resurgence to prove a point??

There's a reason why there's #SellTheTeam billboards up on I-95 right now. It AIN'T cause of Joel.

Yeah. They're right. Sell the fuckin team. He cares more about getting a new stadium in DC more anyways.
