Joe was a victim of a shift in the culture. When pump it up dropped, i thought joe was going to be right up there with fifty cent. Making a smash single is the hardest part and he did that out the gate, and i knew he could rap and had clue/fab behind him, pause, a major label, and nyc radio
I thought it was a no brainer
To the south?Joe was a victim of a shift in the culture.
Yes.To the south?
Did he fumble it tho? Or did cam block can’t feel my face?Juelz
He had the ladies, he was apart of a legendary movement, he could rap a bit, he could make hits, he had great mixtapes with Wayne
It’s crazy how hard he fumbled his career after 2006 lol
I think Cam spoke on what happened with that project.Did he fumble it tho? Or did cam block can’t feel my face?
Oh yeah, also i remember hearing that the label blamed fan confusion for low albums sales because ppl didn’t know if his name was joe budden or joe buddensJoe was a victim of a shift in the culture.
Def Jam messed up by putting it on a movie soundtrack before Budden’s album dropped.Oh yeah, also i remember hearing that the label blamed fan confusion for low albums sales because ppl didn’t know if his name was joe budden or joe buddens
And so some ppl looked for joe buddens and couldn’t find shit.
I wasn’t quite sure how that made sense but I’m no music professional
PleaseDid he fumble it tho? Or did cam block can’t feel my face?
Julez has he had a whole crew, label and movement behind him...
Though few other kinda fumbled too:
Saigon had unlucky timing as the South/Soundcloud rappers were popping, he could make tough singles too but also didnt know where to be street of kick knowledge...
Cassidy had bars and singles with Kelz but couldnt quite take off for somereason...
Joe was similar to Saigon in that hip hop wanted catchy singles and he wanted to get bars...
Shyne's whole thing was 'sounding like Biggie' which is never a good long term plan, as the novelty soon wears off...
