Dude is in a crazy spot. I was saying this about B.G., like why is he still dropping music.

His fanbase checks for it for a day or 2 and then it's left off in the dust.

I think it's hard for older rappers over 33 to tap into this new generational fanbase.

It's much easier for younger rappers to tap into their fanbase (the ones who are around their age) and still be able to get some of the older cats whose older than them

I said it in a previous thread, it's only like 3 or 4 artists that are over 30 that can make music for the younger gen and the older gen. Drake, Future, K.Dot, YB (even though the older cats just want to support, the women just want to be in the no of the mix) and maybe another artist may be Kanye..

Benny just not in that Top 5 and like one said, your fanbase has moved on in a sense.
 
Benny does a lotta collaborations with a lotta artists.. He's nice as shit. He just doesn't understand it's more to it than just putting out hot verses.

They should have been released a Griselda clothing line. Got into some kinda endorsements.

The best thing the Wu ever did was create that logo. That logo did more for them than any one song, and these niggaz put out classic music in the era Benny wishes he was from. But i can promise you their best move was that W.

EVERYBODY needed someone like him

It was always dudes behind the scenes that navigated the marketing and business aspect of all this shit. People who really dealt with the lanes labels and all the shit the public never sees. The streets never ran the culture, rappers have always had very little control. Everything was decided behind closed doors like every other business.

I dont know if drill is dead or not, younguns are always gonna be putting out music and sending for their 'opps' via music but yeah regarding your second part, thats my point... Benny and GxFR arnt making music for the 'current version' of the streets or the teenagers... Its for 35+ dudes who find it nostalgic...

They are the age of elder statesmen... Most other rappers their age make music for fun and have transitioned to other avenues, such as big business and podcasting etc
 
The "nerds" more genuine that these so called street niggas. They all pretending, want people to fear them, but only wanna flex on people they think wont fight back. But wonder why they arnt respected in the industry or these same "nerds" dont promote their garbage songs.

AK got more pull than these DJ's cuz the Dj's not playing new fire artists unless they get paid to or until the song too big to ignore. What use is a DJ that has the same radio playlist?

What really has them mad is when the nerds finally let them in on the inside joke. The inside joke being how much more money they were making than these rappers. It had them sick & bitter

GxFR had some dope tee shirts going for a while but they got played out... I got a couple but wouldnt wear them now, maybe they will become dope again in 20yrs time...

No one wants to dress like GxFR though, especially Westside... dude is in a midlife crisis and dresses like a dude with ADHD trying to be down with the kids lol
