COMMUNITY United States Politics Thread: Trump's Second Term

Interesting perspective. There's been a bunch already that have said similar. They didn't like something in the bill or there were things they didn't support but it wasn't enough to vote against the overall

They'll get to say they either did or didn't like something in the bill and plead ignorance. The cult will eat it up that something bad was passed for the greater good of the entire bill

I can differentiate, but I give the proper attention to the one that matters most to me. Nobody has even said it was all racism, but when we mention racism you quick to push the convo away from it.

Just like that last exchange I referenced, you condescending to black people that they should consider all sides when the side that matters most to us is the obvious racism.

Wait,

Trump ran against Hilary and you're stating that Trump won the election because of a slew of racist white people voted for him over a white racist woman, a woman who called black kids predators?

When it was presented to you that black folks sat out...the ones that voted for Barak....but omit that voting block and make it seem as "racism" was the cause to Trumps victory over another racist white woman?

I'm just trying to understand how "racist/racism" made Trump a winner over a white woman who said out loud her thoughts towards black folks?

Lol so u quoted me while attempting to have a completely different convo than what u were responding to. Then blaming me for trying to stay on topic.

That's very normal.

Bruh do you think if it weren’t for Trump’s appeal to racists he would have even gotten out of the republican primary? Racists pushed him to the top of the republican ticket because of how they felt about a black man being president.

Yes all of that other shit was a factor, but don’t downplay the factor race played in this whole equation.

Aint the republicans that he stood next to on that primary racists? So the other candidates on that ticket with him weren't racist and didn't have a fanbase of racist whites? Are you understanding what you're saying.

The whole party is racist according to you? so what you want me to believe is that the republican fanbase which are in fact racists elected another new comer who is racist (Trump) over the other candidates who are also racist like Trump?

The black man term was over breh....They by passed their other racist candidates just as I stated to push another racist candidate who is like them?

You keep saying racism got Trump the W over Hilary...when in fact every republican candidate that stood next to Trump has a fanbase of racist...the whole party of republicans are racist according to do..

Make that make sense dude

You ask these dudes logical questions and have them explain their answer to you like you're a 5 year old....it breaks their whole stance down...and you have them all outta wack

He and others wants us to believe that racists put Trump into the primary seat...when in fact ALL of the candidates on the republican side are racists according to them....have been racists....were racists before Obama...etc....but racists allowed Trump to win vs Hilary..

No, those voters who sat out during those election like you pointed out in your previous post, those votes that Hilary didn't get caused her not to win just like it did with Kamala...it was said that if Kamala got 3% more of the black vote (that 3% grassroot FBA...she would have won....look that up)....the sour taste that Obama left in those black folks mouths who realized what he was about...left a bad taste in their mouths.....the pandering that Hilary did towards blacks and the shit she said in her past about blacks.....help aid Trump into office....

Racists don't vote for Black people and then turn around and be racists towards them during their term....that shit doesn't even make sense as one may try to state...oh the racists voted for Obama in 08 and 12..huh...

I'ma vote a motherfucker into office...who I hate....only to cause harm to that person while in office....either I vote for my guy...the racist guy who lost to Obama or I sit out and don't vote....

That's what majority of those racists did when Obama won......they were outnumbered.....Trump won because folks took a back seat from how they felt about Obama's term and what Hilary was doing and had said about black folks....

We getting way off base. @ChicagoFigure said Trump won cause people felt disdain for democrats after they fell for Barack’s change campaign.

I said what about the racism.

He said ok, what about all this other shit.

I said ok, but what about the racism.

Then the cycle continued.

My point being, he always conveniently downplays the racism. He did the same thing when Hegeseth fired the black Joint Chiefs of Staff CQ Brown.

Which is why these white people voted for Trump, to hurt US and people that look like us.

They DID NOT vote for him to make their lives better and more prosperous. Not for better jobs, not for living wages, not for affordable health, low mortgage rates secured retirement etc.etc.

He didn't do or succeed and doing any of this during his 1st term for them or the country

But that racism and hate in their souls trumps all logic, reason and common sense. And they gladly will sacrifice their personal self interests for the mere hope of destroying the black & brown community

And I am asking you....if there's 7 racist republican candidates running for President. Are these 7 that's apart of the republican party have racist fanbase already??

Yes they do and these 7 racist republican candidates are JUST LIKE TRUMP...They practice racism as well....nothing new...Their whole party is built off of racism...

That racist party lost to Obama....So why did the racist candidate and his racist fanbase beat Obama? but they lost to Hilary...It's the same racist people that's voting in these elections....(hmm could it be that those black votes that @ChicagoFigure posted about hurt Hilary, just like the 3% of FBAS that Kamala needed to win her election hurt her) You can say it's a reach..but I don't think so..

Racist get behind other racist people.....Obama ran against a racist republican candidate and his party...why he didn't win if racism was the key to victory

Take Trump out of this equation... the 7 racists republican candidates were already having racism spewing on their campaigns.....It was spewing before Trump ran for President....It will be racism afterwards

I don't think he's downplaying imo, I think he wants you and the Blackrain dude to explain how Trump won with racism....I added the whole...All republicans are racist to prove to you that racism either with Trump or without his name on the ballot...the shit still is there... which you both seem to not think that...

Yall two think...Trump created racism....and that's how he won lol...No...that's not it...racism and racist republican fanbase/candidates were already a thing before Trump even announced he was running

Why did these white folks vote for the racist republican candidate who ran against Obama.....

Why would they let a black man win 2x ..if they (in your words) wanna hurt people that look like you??? Why they let a black man win? Don't he look like you?

What you want us to believe is that this time...they voted for Trump to hurt people that look like you? but the last time with Obama (who looks like the ppl that you claim they wanna hurt) they decided to go fishing and not vote?

Doesn't make sense

For like the 6th time now, yes, racist trump supporters were definitely a factor.

So people who voted for Obama twice, then voted against Hillary did so bc they were racist toward Obama? Does that really sound logical to u?

Mind u, low voter turnout hurt Hillary the most. 2016 was lowest voter turnout in 20 years compared to Obama's record high turnout.

I know you answered his question...i want to add on...remove trump...are those racist supporter not racist? Would they be racist under someone else?

I think (imo) by Trump putting out "Make America Great Again" hats and t-shirts and having those (same racists who voted for McCain) start saying out loud the stuff Trump started saying in the media....they (knight and others) think these are some kind of "new voters" lol..

These the same voters who voted for McCain when he ran against Obama...the same voters that voted with Mitt Rommey the second time.... They are now bold enough to say it loud on twitter and in other spaces and platforms...That's where this whole "trump won with racism" rhetotic comes from...

It's in your face now and it's not sugary coded.....but these the same white folks and others who was on the McCain train and Mitt Rommey train...

These so call "trump supporters" racist are the same "racist supporters" lol...

Energy is not created nor destroyed it is transferred = Trump Supporters (Republican Party)

I don't know. Voting Republican to hurt black people has been the standard since all the (overtly) racist Dems left that party and joined the Reps back in the day.

I will say we've probably been less of a focus in the Trump era than in the past. We were still targets of their hate, mostly through the anti-DEI backlash, but immigrants and trans people have been catching way more heat.

Somebody else already called you out for using the “I voted for Obama so I’m not racist” trope.

And I know you acknowledged racism, but only after it was presented to you by others.

Then when it was presented you downplayed it.

That’s it, that’s all. A simple “you right racism did play a role” would have sufficed. But you can’t help but to bring it back to the non-racism point and act like racism wasn’t as big a deal.

And if that’s your opinion that’s fine. Black people see racism as the bigger factor for why Trump became president.

Im speaking from data and a source i posted. U keep copping out bc u don't want to answer the question. This is not a real answer no matter how much u want to gaslight.

If black voter turnout would have stayed the same as it was in 2012 for Obama, Hillary would have won. If white college educated turnout would have stayed the same as 2012, Hillary would have won.

The declines in these voting demographics contributed to her loss.

And I know you acknowledged racism, but only after it was presented to you by others.

Idk if you're being dense on purpose.

Racism played a significant role (7th time). We can debate how significant it was relative to voter turnout, but u won't do that. You're avoiding speaking on any other factors whatsoever I can only speculate bc it's inconvenient for u.
