Why is supporting black owned businesses so difficult sometimes?

There's this pretty good Soul food place in Crown Heights. Went there last Sunday, trying to get some Turkey Wings. The owner was very friendly....even offered us free samples of the food. Ordered the food, and made sure it was thoroughly explained that we wanted Turkey Wings. The cashier even read the order back to us. Got a bag of the food, and the owner even asked us to check to make sure everything was in there. We should've opened the container, but everything look in order as there were two platter boxes, a side of potato salad, and the two drinks we got.....

Went home to find out that they gave us CHICKEN WINGS instead of turkey wings. My wife was heated. Fucked whole day up. She didn't even eat after that.

Oh barber shops be on some bullshit too. I'm not asking the world, and for some spa level treatment. I like a chill shop. Just be open when you say you'll be open. Don't be stepping outside while I'm in the chair, taking a phone break, or stopping every 3 minutes to talk to somebody. Do that and I'm straight.

Think I've changed shops twice since I created this thread. And the one I'm at now I almost stopped fucking with for closing way before their closing time. I show up and the bitch is just empty. Had me mad, haha.

He asked yall to check and you didn't. Thats on YOU. 🫵🏿 Most places aren't even considerate enough to tell you to make sure on spot that you're happy with your order while they can still take care of it. That's good business.

Thats one thing I don’t miss about having hair man I hated relying on barbers and this type of bs. Be picking and choosing when they wanna open/close.
 
Sad reality it’s like they trying cover their overhead selling 10 plates for way to much with minimal food instead of selling 20 plates at a reasonable price. Then use that support black business moto to make you feel guilty.. naaaah foh.

Crazy 'cause that's how it is forreal.

My homie used to sell ribs on the exit ramp on various freeways around Detroit. Used to make a killin too 'cause he sold them rib dinners for a fair price: $10 for a few ribs and two sides or something like $15 for more ribs and three sides. He made a profit on every tray he sold.

Niggas today would be sellin' that shit for $60-$75.

You go to a Spanish restaurant and can get way more for about $10 or $15.

Jamaican restaurant is about the same, more food at $10 to $15

I don’t know why it’s like this at some Black restaurants.

Crazy thing is I don’t see many black owned anything by me. It’s mostly Indian / Middle Eastern owning everything by me. Most of the Spanish owned stuff is closing down and being bought by Indian / Middle Eastern people.

Saw this on Facebook. Comments just full of people asking how to get the food, and most don't get a response. All the videos are full of comments asking how to order the food.

Why do I gotta beg you to tell me where to buy your food? Food looks amazing. But price, location, and how to order are a mystery. I'll pass...

Some Chinese spots out here used to load you up and I think the hood spots still do. Lunch tray would be bulging and heavy for cheap. One spot in Dearborn me and my coworkers used to joke and say it was a Triad front for money laundering 'cause wasn't no way on earth could they give you so much food for so little money.

Yeah the Chinese spots always serve a lot for $10

I can get 4 wings, French fries, and an Ice tea for about $12 to $15 (before 2022 it was definitely $11)
