Btw I don't really expect Los to actually get around to answering any of these questions
Nothing to be specific about nothing has happened just a mayoral primary. Mamdani can still very easily lose. That’s my bad, I wasn’t asking you to be specific on Republicans. I was asking you to be specific on Democrats.
Look for the sentences that end in question marks. You've missed quite a few, not just mine either. What’s you questions bruh?
Be specific and don’t talk in general terms.

What could be some reasons that voter turnout drops or rises @Los216 ?
Okay so older do vote more consistently. Why didn't they in 2025 compared to 2021?
Just off last page alone @Los216That's not what I was asking but since u took it there are u defending those who sat out?
Reading through the last few pages and I’m just tired of analyzing the reasons people vote this way, vote that way, or don’t vote at all. When it comes down to it, people’s algorithms have more sway than any objective political facts or even their own self interest.
And only their algorithm during presidential election cycles.
If you get to secondary and tertiary levels of discourse their arguments fall apart and they either say you don’t get it or it turns personal.
I’m with you on all of that, but it feeds right into the point I made. Vibes and pseudo-intellectualism drives people’s decisions more than anything and social media algorithms shape those opinions more than anything. What’s really happening right now in 2025 is people who didn’t listen in 2016 and 2024 want other people to explain to them why we are where we are instead of taking accountability for their performance actions in 2016 and 2024.
I’m not going to be lectured in 2025 by non Black people why think that it’s ok to talk to Black voters like we’re dumb or like we aren’t the ones that made having a platform possible for them in the first place.
These young Progressives have t lived through shit but they want to dismiss everything that Black people have gone through politically while they have nothing to show politically other than vibes.
So then accountability for a candidate losing falls more on said candidate than the voters? You answer on why voter turnout rises or drops is right there by listening to the voters. What are the voters saying?
In NYC mayoral primary there was lower black voter turnout and higher young voter turnout. U said younger don't consistently vote, great. So what accounts for lower vote turnout among older black voters in 2025 vs 2021?What are you specifically asking about older voters in 2025 and 2021?
U asked me, should i just expect black ppl to come out and support any ol Dem candidate? My answer to that is no, but, doesn't change the fact that some didn't come out at all, in a race where an establishment candidate lost to a progressive. Do u defend them not voting?Am I defending those that sat out? How can you even come to that conclusion?
I don't think any of us need an explanation as to why the political climate is where it is. I think it's pretty obvious. I'm curious why u think status quo and establishment seems to be the best option when they're the reason why we are where we are. What’s really happening right now in 2025 is people who didn’t listen in 2016 and 2024 want other people to explain to them why we are where we are instead of taking accountability for their performance actions in 2016 and 2024.

No titangraph crashouts for me cuz you can't rebuttal shit I said. If living in a bubble means I can move freely, get this bread and not be worried about the comings and goings of an inept government, then leave me where I'm at. 4 years is way to long for me to wait for something I can get on my own. Have fun arguing with yourself... I'm done. You live in a bubble.
Aren't u basically calling voters dumb?Reading through the last few pages and I’m just tired of analyzing the reasons people vote this way, vote that way, or don’t vote at all. When it comes down to it, people’s algorithms have more sway than any objective political facts or even their own self interest.

And if u don't, who do u think was the best candidate for them?
I mean... 77M people voted for a convicted felon that had numerous lawsuits while campaigning lolAren't u basically calling voters dumb?
I mean... 77M people voted for a convicted felon that had numerous lawsuits while campaigning lol
Remember this? Lol
Depends on the demographic. I can tell you why the uncommitted Muslims didn't vote for her. Who's fault is it that she didn't get the uncommitted Muslims vote? Hers or theirs? You're not getting it……
The question is why the candidate didn’t get the support that they needed. Kamala got the support she needed from Black people. She didn’t get it with non Black “Democrats”.
Why?
It would be more of a shock for Mamdani to win than for Adams I don't disagree with that.First of all, it was a Primary….Let’s slow it down a bit. Second, look at the candidates. Mamdani is not going to win the General against Eric Adam’s with that Black voter turnout. This is like when Progressives were talking big shit in 2020 when Bernie was “winning” after Primaries in Iowa and states where Black voters are not the primary voting block. Remember those victory laps? What did I tell niggas what was gonna happen when they crossed the Mason Dixon Line? I said niggas was gonna let that chopper sing for Joe Biden and South Carolina came out and reminded those arrogant Progressives who WOULD RATHER LUMP BLACK DEMOCRATS IN WITH THE ESTABLISHMENT THAN ACKNOWLEDGE OUR WORK who really is the center of the Democratic Party….
I'm not asking who did black voters support more, I'm asking why do u think they turned out less in this primary than the last. Not voting for who? The Black voters that did come out in this primary supported Cuomo more than Mamdani. So what you’re really asking me is do I defend Black voters in NYC that refused to come out in 2025 and support an Indian Progressive that led an uncommitted movement in 2024 that hurt Kamala Harris chances at becoming POTUS?
You’re asking me if I’m defending Black people who decided to be uncommitted in a major city Mayoral Primary against a candidate who was loud and proud about being uncommitted in 2024 largely because of a foreign war being fought in another country that has less impact on Black voters than any other issue that was on the line in 2024?
Just making sure that’s what you’re asking me?
So what happens if the black voter turnout shows up to vote for the independent ticket (Adams)? What does that say about the Dem party as it relates to black people, in your opinion? There’s not always an answer for this question. People need to stop acting like the options available = our best or preferred. It doesn’t. The best candidate for US (Black people) in 2016 was HRC, 2020 was Biden, 2024 was Kamala. Those were our choices. The other “option” was Trump. In an election, it’s too late to litigate options. That’s why we have primaries.
In this NYC race in 2025, this was a Primary. So there is still a General election. So if niggas don’t like the candidates, they don’t have to choose but they can’t complain about what their choices are in the General.
So in this Primary, the Black voters have spoken. They clearly don’t think Mamdani is the best candidate for them and it looks like we’re going to have to wait until the General to find out who is…….
