COMMUNITY United States Politics Thread: Trump's Second Term

First off... I don't know what this democrat tea party is all about so pardon me for not really caring about a goofy flyer they made. But more to the point... do you have a problem with these people's actual politics or is it just because they don't happen to be black or white?

Are you Black?

It's not.

So why haven’t they done it?

Republicans did it with MAGA and the Tea Party.

Also, why would they name the New Democratic Party after the same name as the Republican Party split that happened right after Obama was elected?

What does that say to Black people?

I dont even know why you entertain these dudes.

He and others been crying since Trump won. His life has been the same lo

Most of these posters lives hasn't changed one bit since the election.

Same routine, same bills being paid on time...same routine haircuts..

I dont even know why you go back and forth with these cats....

The non FBAs, non blacks in here crying, dont even vote back in their own homelands, it's worse over there...but wanna call out others who see the bullshit plays from both parties over here lol.

I find that too funny. Like you dont even have a voice back in your homeland and you wanna try and be the big brother on some shit over here in the US.

Shit is backwards as hell.

But shit is shifting and its going in the right direction

My life hasn't changed.. its actually gotten better by 25 points from this time last year. I can say the same about the posters who are in here crying.

You aint hurt.
I just want healthy discourse, which upon looking at the last few pages ain't happening anytime soon. @Los216 crashed out at least twice in this thread since our last interaction. You right... life has gotten better for me since the last election, and that has nothing to do with who's in office. These changes this administration made are performative at best. The states, Congress, and any independently acting entity in government and society can tell the president to eat a dick. Whoever chooses to listen to him has to live with the fact that they're pussy and have to hold Trump's pocket to survive in life. This is the only place I see Armageddon taking place, just because their chosen candidates are getting their ass kicked by reality. I'm closer to a socialist than any other party, so none of this is an issue to me. But I remember a time where we all collectively agreed that the government wasn't shit, and we moved accordingly. Our social progression leaned on community and knowledge of self, not party affiliation. These niggas never had to fight for something they love because the Dems told them they would protect them. That's my fault for trying to tell these niggas daddy is never coming home.

Are you Black?

Yessir. Now can you stop ducking direct questions?

You're of the opinion that it was somehow progressives that caused Kamala to lose and not all these "centrist" democrat who are basically republicans (or the actual republicans she chose to use as campaign surrogates instead of the true base of the party). And that's a very strange takeaway from a progessive winning the NYC dem primaries.

You live in a bubble.

Black voter turnout was lower than 2021

Young voter turnout was higher, in some areas 2-3x what it was in 2021

What could be some reasons that voter turnout drops or rises @Los216 ?

To expand on this, candidates who do not address race, cannot be trusted by Black people. You can’t win an election with Black support when you refuse to even acknowledge us as Black people.

But they love to latch on to our struggles and ride our waves.

Be specific……
Initially the republican establishment was against Trump and didn't want him to win.

His populist/anti establishment rhetoric made him popular enough to succeed.

As it turns out he's not anti establishment, he wants to be the establishment.

Yet the fracture among the Republican party remains (see: Cheney endorses Kamala).

Okay so older do vote more consistently. Why didn't they in 2025 compared to 2021?

For which candidate? Mamdani? The candidate that refused to even acknowledge Black people?

Are you asking why Black voters didn’t throw their unwavering support around a candidate and vote for them just because they’re a Democrat?

You know, the same shit niggas accuse some of us of doing with Democrats in general…..

That’s my bad, I wasn’t asking you to be specific on Republicans. I was asking you to be specific on Democrats.

Not Mamdani specifically just in general among each candidate
