Lebron: Rings Shouldn't Matter; Rings Arent As Important In Other Sports

This like when Andre 3000 was bigging up Phife when he died. It's what you're supposed to say.

Well TMac ain't dead so that's not a good comparison. Kobe told his own teammates when he thought they wasn't shit. Why the hell would he lie about somebody that was only ever an opponent in his own book?

lol idk man. Friends big up their friends and the nigga never got a ring, left off the NBA 75, always overlooked, that's the least Kob could do.

When we get down to brass tacks, Mcgrady never had what it took to get the job done, even when he had solid teams around him. He was a great offensive player, he was never a shut down defender. 0 All defensive teams, compared to a nigga who's tied for the most in NBA history.

I could go on forever lol it's a ridiculous comparison.

I'd say Kobe would have a better feel for that than you or any other fan would. And we all know he wasn't the type to hand out compliments to people he ain't think deserved them.

Yes, empty stats that didn't lead to winning. How are you the best ever and you never won a championship?

Because it's a team sport. Individual excellence doesn't always overcome.

Someone with crazy play (and stats) could fail to win because he had the worst coach of all time, for example.

I'm not saying that everything else gotta be perfect, but if they are bad enough, no individual excellence will be able to overcome.

I do believe that if TO was with the Lakers instead of Kobe, they probably still win one championship. I don't think that's a given though and I don't think they 3-peat as Kobe's drive played a part in that and I don't know that TMac has that particular character trait.

The think that hurts TMac's case is that his career didn't stop with Orlando and Kobe's didn't stop with his time with Shaq. TMac went to Houston and Kobe led the Lakers without Shaq. I think their teams were pretty comparable at some point yet Kobe got back-2-back championships and TMac failed to get out of the first round. Yes, winning a championship is a team accomplishment, but who you have at the head of that team matters.

T Mac couldn't even win a playoff series. Shaq had Penny and wasn't winning shit and there's niggas who got Penny over T Mac.

I know SAS and people in the media commonly throw that "6-0" shit around. I haven't seen that as much with the average MJ fans or even Lebron haters. In fact, I've heard a lot of MJ fans talk about how stupid going straight to "6-0" is. There are dudes on Youtube dedicating hour long video essays on YouTube to why MJ is better than Lebron, and you'll be 30 mins. in before you hear "6-0."
