Official Car/Vehicle thread.. Car mods, new purchases, general convo

No problem,gm knows of the problem though
Yeah I just looked it up. Apparently a problem with the lifters on the Automatic Feul Management and Dynamic Fuel Management engines. Doesn’t seem to be on all engines so I’ll take my chances. Plus I’ll be buying new so I’ll have all of the warranties and everything.

Yea its only on all of gm trucks with the 6.2 in it. What kind of deals are they pushing?

Ok they some lying ass mf’s, lol. Got there, test drove, tell them I want it, then they bring out the price breakdown showing that shit at $62k. Talking about the MSRP does not include like $4k of dealer add-ons, smh. They put LoJack on that bitch and that alone costed $1,500. I’m like ok, well take all that shit back off and let’s do this.

Needless to say, the price ended up being $62k after all of the add-ons, tax, tag, title, and dealer admin fee. Some promotions weren’t available for whatever reason. So I walked out. I can still afford the payment on a $62k car easy but I’m not dealing with shit like that.

So I went to another dealership where their advertised price was a little more accurate. Told them I’m willing to do $55k, $15k down, I’ll finance the $40k through my credit union, and I’m not trading my car. They say they can’t do any better than $60k, which I respect.

So now I have a conundrum. Do I trade my 2015 BMW 428i and lower the purchase price to about $52k?

What’s y’all thoughts on trading in a paid off, perfectly fine car? Note it’s a BMW with 120k miles so who knows what repairs might be coming up.

I'd keep the paid off car and take the down payment money and put it towards some preventative maintenance for it.

Fuck another car note.

Typically I’d be with you, but it’s about time for a new car, lol.

Decided to trade my daughter’s 2008 3 series and give her my 2015 4 series. She’s so damn excited, lol.

I’ll post pics of the new truck tomorrow. Shit just came off the trailer today so they still need to do all of the dealer add ons.

Really intrigued by the "Bezos" truck.

I wouldn't mind just getting the two seater but I need that extra row. It will suit my getting around town needs just fine off a single charge I reckon but I know with it being modular, it can get pricey quick
