OUT NOW Marvel Rivals

Finally got to silver in competitive lol. Ill be getting the worst teams ever and have people leaving constantly but then manage to get a team with 4 straight wins. Don't have any consistent friends i play with though, just solo queue.

Been learning a lot with different characters.

Vanguard im pretty good or decent with: hulk, the thing, Emma frost, venom, and groot. Really want to try and learn thor, magneto, strange and cap. Everyone gives cap players shit, but ive been in games where cap players destroy. Also penni Parker. Everytime I play as her i get shit damage but ive seen others dominate.

Strategist: namor, wolverine, Mr fantastic, squirrel girl, hela and a little bit of iron man and moon knight. Really want to learn more strat heroes but I get killed way easy a lot of times. Magik looks fun af. I try with black panther but get killed fast as hell and hardly get damage off. Really want to learn psylock, winter soldier, punisher, storm, and scarlet witch.

For heals I'm good with invisible woman, mantis, and rocket. Trying to learn Luna a little more here and there, but would love to learn loki, cloak and dagger, and Adam warlock. I've seen cloak players get mvp and most kills in a match and be the main healer. Shits insane. Mantis heals slow as hell, but her power boost gets her a lot of elims.
 
Goddamn. Phoenix about to be a real problem. I can see her getting nerfed quick haha.

Haven't had any time playing ultron but I heard on release he was wack, but then folks started learning how to actually play him and hes got more respect now.

Blade supposedly is the next character after phoenix
 
Got to play a little bit today. Just did quick match and tried playing characters i have the least play time with.

Played star lord for a bit. Dude is really powerful. Gotta get close to mid range to be effective, but I was shredding tanks and the back lines. I love the flip move he does because it makes you invincible for a second or two and also is an instant reload. Put a full clip into someone and if they ain't dead just flip and unload again and they're down. Then just fly away and get to healers or out of combat area. His ultimate destroys as well but definitely one you want to time well or get behind the enemies because it can be blocked easily or you can get taken out quickly.

Also put some work in as Luna Snow. Understanding her a bit more I think it's either her or invisible woman as my favorite healer. Her heals are powerful af, the snowball to freeze helps survivability a ton. Then you got the ice shards skill that increases damage and heals for a little bit to get you out of a pinch. I ended up getting mvp a couple times with her because her damage output is so good and her main attack shoots through people. So if there's a group of people fighting I can just shoot into the group and hit folks with heals but if there's nothing to heal it goes through and does damage. It's also split into 3 icecicles, so you could have 2/3 go into an ally and heal them then 1/3 go into the enemy they're engaged with and do damage. Her attack isn't one you want to spam so I'm hitting the trigger independently for every shot and it makes taking out flyers a lot easier.
 
Another hero i really want to learn is Storm. I've played eith a few really good ones and the way she can boost the team comes in so clutch a lot of times. The couple times I tried to use her I'd get taken out quick as fuck though so I never stuck with her trying to learn.

Iron fist is also someone I gotta learn one day. I've seen some IF players practically solo entire squads. I dont know if he got buffed or what, but I recall when I first started the game way back when people were saying he's practically useless. Either he got buffed or it took awhile for people to learn him because he absolutely destroys now.

I also got to learn all the flyers. I've played Iron Man a bit and did decent, but I tried Johnny and my output was shit. Ultron I haven't tried at all yet.
 
Is anyone on ps5 still playing this? I need a team for comp. Ps5 comp games are absolute shit most times.

Been having more time to play this week. Been doing comp but also been playing quick match trying to learn new characters.

Phoenix is an absolute blast to play. I love her skills and you feel like you're doing so much damage with them. A lot of movement skills, but her stacking attack and her left trigger attack is so satisfying to do when you got grouped players. Been doing really well as phoenix in games.

Storm. Been playing her a bit and understanding her a lot more. Her ultimate is awesome to use. Only downfall is she has such low health and so easy to kill but if you can get out of sight and get on the attack you can destroy a team quick. Her buff is helpful af too.

Been playing magneto and dr. Strange a lot too. With strange im still having trouble doing damage. His main attack doesn't do hardly anything for damage, but using melee back and forth definitely increases his damage output. With that said it's still difficult to get elims tho. I've noticed I'm doing a lot better using the shield and helping my teams push up on a target though. Magneto I'm doing really well with. Does great damage, does great with shield, and his team up right now with Emma frost is pretty dope. Definitely get a lot more Elims with magneto than strange.

Next characters I'm going to try focus learning is cap America, Adam warlock, cloak and dagger, and maybe psylock or scarlet witch.

Im stuck in gold again this season. I hate ps5 comp so much. There's no mics so zero communication. Ill get on teams where there's one tank, 4dps and I get forced to play healer, but one healer ain't enough and nobody swaps. Then the amount of times I get on a team and someone leaves mid match. Won't even be a bad match they just leave. Then other games I won't have a tank at all on my team or the one tank will switch to dps out of nowhere. Just throwers everywhere. Then I'll get on teams where there's just zero synergy and everyone sucks. Everyone ends up with 1-2 eliminations the entire match and 12 deaths. I need a reliable squad. Or even 2 people i could communicate with.
 
Made it to plat on ranked for the first time. Keep getting on squads with wack ass people leaving or just sucking ass. I be one of those getting fucked up sometimes though haha.

In quick match I've been learning a lot with fhe flyers. Im loving storm and Johnny storm. Ultron I'm having difficulty with still.

Now I'm comfortable with every single strategist except ultron and Adam warlock.

Im comfortable with every single Vanguard except for Thor. Haven't quite figured him out yet. Im excited to see how the patch effected him though.

For DPS im comfortable with: Hela, Johnny storm, storm, moon knight, namor, Mr fantastic, phoenix, and star lord.

I dont have any lord characters yet but I got a lot of captains and I think one centurion.

It's all dependent on what team ups can happen or what map/game mode im in, but I find myself using hulk, namor, invisible woman, penni Parker, groot, or the thing the most. I could definitely focus on a small handful of characters and play way better but I like being able to switch up depending on the situation haha.
