I guess I’ll ask… where the f%#k is Black Lives Matter?

These new age "black leaders" can give 2 fucks about the legacy of what the generations before us fought for.

Yeah alot of people who started their rise in being a public face of things with the murder of Mike Brown ultimately exposed themselves as being grifters. Or spent too much time trying to prove how Black they are with silly ass t shirts and slogans

If we ever needed these clowns it’s now

Yet where are they?
What do you mean we need them? For one it was a fake org that profited off of us while doing pretty much nothing in return. Second, this notion that we need "leaders" to tell us which way to go has always been a media creation and disrespectful. The most successful civil rights movement in human history was done by us. All we need to do is stop looking for the majority to help(will never happen) and to help ourselves.

I also don't think times are bad at all. But I can understand with how into social media people are that they may think that. Just focus on your family, self improvement, and INVEST(can't say that enough).

Nah times may not be bad for you...but things are definitely bad or could be bad very soon for alot of people. You got folks livelihoods and ability to provide for their families in jeopardy because of Elon and Trump

I know yall on here dont like Amanda Seales, but I do and her interview might answer some questions

Yes it's a lengthy video but again all questions are addressed. Just Google Dr. Melina Abdullah and you might get more or other information not from Amanda if you don't or can't watch her interview.

the gist is that the originators or founders sold or gave the foundation/enterprise over to a group of trustees who from my understanding are not obviously invested in true movement and just basically use the name/branding for their benefits. In the interview Dr. Melina details this..in moments it does get petty to me as they speak on the current trustee or head who had a glow up and a baddie transformation. It's just a brand and they show up at red carpets or other events to show face, may donate a check here or there. But it's apparently not anything of real work for the people.

there is an active or segmented group called BLM Grassroots ...and in the interview the question was asked why not change the name and rebrand so that the "fake" BLM can no longer benefit. The answer to me was basically that it's too much to change the name and I guess attachment to the origin or birth of the name

This interview is Like a month old I think.

But yeah unfortunately black folks started something great, sold it to some other black folks or gave control to some other blk folks , who were less focused on the actual cause.

damn shame, but don't donate to anything with just BLM is my understanding, your money is not going to help blk folks.

if you truly trying to be active, find local on the ground movements where you can do some vetting and see for yourself if the organization or group is legit.

Dr. Melina Abdullah seems 🤔 legit in the interview but it seems she was also in the in group with the original founders or was very close to the beginnings and knows more of what was being done and didn't want to speak negativity about the original co founders before they turned everything over to the current trustees

Idk it seems like it was a bunch of negros who got excited over all the money, dipped and turned it over before shit hit the fan

LMAO...

Called them clowns and in the same sentence said they're needed...
I think he is being rhetorical or maybe purposeful ironic? Which ever word fits. He is showing how they are frauds. They were on the streets protesting and other stuff but when the donations came in, they disappeared. Now with today's climate, they are no where to be seen.

At least that is what I think he is getting at.

Also I like to say that the civil rights movement wasn't all cohesive as the pictures
And nice packaged stories we hear.

They were divided and many regular black folks didn't participate or align with one movement. Things were staged and sometimes we still give credit to ppl when they didn't do what we read or think

Like for example Google Claudette Colvin and Rosa Parks...

A revolution don't need everyone, just enough

And now more than then , black people will rise but only when they are financially made uncomfortable or get fuq with.

We as a group are very comfortable with this Capitalism and Status Quo ...despite the fuckery we still see.

I imagine it will have to regress to certain measures to where we see us really rally together unified like we imagine or saw our brothers and sisters did in the past

So you don't care that these people are dismantling laws our grandparents fought for? They want to erase and whitewash our history and contributions to this country. That's not bad to you?? So at what point should we start considering the current situation as bad?
