Whats wrong with those bananas??? Cant you use them for cooking or something???

Man, this thread just reminded me I need to clear out my greenhouse and polytunnel, full of old dead tomato and chilli plants and sh!t lol

Nothing wrong with them.. I just dont like bananas at all 🤮
 
Couple experiments going on.. I copped some turmeric and wanna try to grow my own. Gonna start it off in this small cup of soil to let it get some roots and then transplant it to a bigger pot

Doin a lil sweet potato/yam experiment as well. trying to get it to grow some slips. I read if you keep an apple or tomatoes nearby they will sprout quicker. I can see a few starting to pop already. Couple tomato seedlings in the background

Mostly giving them to the family/friends since I dont eat them like that. I must check the store next time to see how much they sell per pound 🤔

lol I been slowly adding them to my diet since they spos to be good for you n shit but I am not a fan.. 😒
 
A lil Banana experiment.. trying to see if I can get it to sprout.. yeah I still havent found the toothpicks 😅

Not really gardening related but I am trying another experiment trying to make my own apple cider vinegar. I took two apples, some water and sugar. I put a lil shot glass inside to keep the floating apple pieces down. Got a lil mesh cover on top so it can breathe.. Pic 1 was the first day... second pic was after about 4 days. gonna give it a few weeks and see what happens👀

lookin good bruh! Id imagine you dont have to worry too much about pests getting in eating your plants since it's enclosed. How do you manage to get the plants pollinated tho if the bees cant get in?

The vingar is going well. After the two weeks you strain out the apples and then let it ferment some more so it turns to vinegar. I can definitely tell its working. Initially it smelled faintly of hard apple cider but its got a strong vinegar smell now. Next time im gonna use a bigger container

Thanks brother, I still get aphids and annoying things like that... they still find theyre way in somehow but it helps for sure, especially against the elements...

Pollination isnt really a problem, the doors have a nylon window netting and the squares are big enough to let the pollinators and ventilation in...

The ACV is looking good man, when youre brave enough let us know how it tastes haha
