Black real estate agents arrested at a philly starbucks for not ordering anything

It’s all good till bums come chill at your place of business.

But Starbucks allowed this to happen by not enforcing the rule.

Wtf you even talking about.

Starbucks is wrong for calling the police because they let ppl just chill in there all the time and not buy nothing.

My dad owned his own business and a couple bums from time to time just tried to come in and chill at a table and not order nothing just to get a break from being outside.

After you find out that they ain’t waiting on their guest you have to get them out because they are talking up a spot for a actually paying customer.

The manager was clearly a racist faggot that just wanted the black dudes out but the police had no reason to arrest them.

Like I said before if the place ain't packed and paying customers can get seats then who gives a fuck who just sitting there if they are not causing any problems for other paying customers.

I've been in a restaurant where a homeless person came in there ordered and paid for their food. The manager asked the homeless person to wait outside ONLY because of how bad they smelled. Cause this same restaurant and same manager allowed other homeless people who didn't smell to sit at the tables until the lunch rush came and they needed those tables.

So like I said before

That homeless guy paid though

That’s just another customer. If he ain’t paying and taking up a seat that would be a problem for a business owner.

But like I stated before. Starbucks allow ppl to just “hangout” there and not order anything.

So it’s starbucks fault. Not the dudes for just chilling actually waiting

All you muthafuckas can make excuses for Starbucks all you want. There's a reason the CEO condemned the actions and called them "reprehensible". There's a reason he's meeting with the men, and there's a reason that the barista is no longer employed.

If I truly believe in my company, and believe in didn't participate in any wrongdoing, then I'm gonna defend it with every ounce of my being. The fact that the CEO is not adhering to that line of thinking speaks volumes.

I don’t think anybody in here made excuses for them though.

I just don’t see enough ppl faulting the police. They the ones that took the shit to levels that it didn’t need to be with some many of them and then arresting them.

Yes a paying customer that was asked to wait outside because their smell was a problem to other paying customers. The other homeless people who didn't smell and also NOT pay customers were allowed to stay inside because they didn't smell, so they weren't a bother to other paying customers and the tables they used were not needed at the moment.

So like it was said from the beginning it doesn't matter who is sitting at the tables and not buying anything if paying customers have other tables to sit at and the non paying folks not bothering the paying customers it shouldn't even matter that they are sitting there.

The police could also show up ask . whats seems to be the problem here.. converse with the manager and patrons say ma'am these people are well within their rights to be here and they dont seem to be causing any trouble.. Call us back when you have a serious issue.. and toss me a muffin.. its just that simple.. police showing up doesnt automatically mean they have to execute a command they are not commanded .. the peace is not being disturbed

Yea that shit is wrong. But that’s not what happened at our place.

Bottom line is fuck that Starbucks manager that called the police and a even bigger fuck the police

Police don’t ever analyze a situation correctly. That’s why anybody can be a police. That shit like working roadside assistance for AAA. Takes no skill.

Because we all know the police are nothing but racist ass/step 'n' fetch fuckboys that live to make black people's lives infinitely harder than they need to be. So them arresting any black person, for even the most minor of infraction, comes as no surprise to anyone.

Starbucks, however, HAD an air of progressiveness about itself. Once again, a company that prides itself on being progressive, has confirmed that that stance is reserved for its non-black patrons.

and i have said as much but i aint disparaging someone else job and saying it takes not skill maybe not but everyone has a purpose you still have to do your job whether its taking out the trash.. flipping burgers .. a principal or a doctor with some sort of care for what your doing and the people who you manage and are serving period any job is a responsibility and should be treated as such

but why can the police ask you to leave if you have a purpose for being where you are at?

I believe a business owner has the right to make ppl leave if they are loitering in their establishment.

I know this situation is deeper than that.

But in general... People shouldnt be able to sit and take up space in a business. And when asked to leave they should do so or be thrown out.

Those guys knew they would be arrested. They did it to prove a point. Cops dont mediate. They are there to enforce.
