Aren't they overstating things. Sure, Puff remixed a lot of shit and became associated with that, but remixes were very common back then. Pretty much everyone was doing them. Almost every single for a song came with a remix of that song on the B-side. They doing to much by acting like Puff made it popular. In fact, you could make the argument that relying that much on remixes was actually kinda lazy.
