Prominent Actor Taraji P. Henson breaks out crying mid interview when discussing her financial situation and pay she receives as an accomplished actor

What do people think they are worth though? Actors are expendable just look at Jonathan Majors/Johnny Depp. Even writers and directors who actually make the movies as well as the S.E. team have less value to a studio.

Its like the RB situation in the NFL. Hollywood is a machine and they will keep it moving with or without you. Now negotiating and striking is necessary. People need to stop trying to live above their means and buying all these cars, fancy clothes and mansions.

Talk to a financial advisor and invest that money. With the way things are actors can write and direct their own projects independently. It reminds me of when Terrance Howard was complaining. Black people especially need to create their own and stop begging and crying.

People got beef with Tyler Perry, but he created his own and its easier to do that today than 20 years ago. Use them Hollywood connections and get a deal with a network or a streaming service.

Ummm...

When we will stop letting Black celebrities ignore the obvious?

"Miss Taraji P. Henson, you are a Black American, most you celebrity motherfuckers love acting like you cashing out but then wanna cry about the fact y'all did this and that and ain't getting no money. You ain't getting no money because we ain't getting no money."

Black America as a whole get paid less than Whites and Asians for the same damn job.

Yet we wanna act like that shit ain't true when it comes to celebrities.

Most of these faces you see on TV, on the YouTubes, on the Tik Toks aren't getting any money nowhere near what every non-Black person around them is worth.

And it doesn't help motherfuckers gotta do the chitlin circuit to even get put on the first place.

Taraji got a terrible ass movie catalog besides Hidden Figures and Empire doesn't fucking rate and that's not because of her own ability, it's because Black media is a ghetto ran by slumlords like Lee Daniels and Tyler Perry that put out the trashiest of shit to sell to White owned networks to sell to the lowest common denominator.

Black celebrity died in the 90s anyway with Michael Jackson being put through the ringer on pedo charges and Whitney Houston being a crackhead. White media ain't paying no Black American life changing millions ever again to sing, act or dance. The richest Black entertainers right now are Drake, the Weekend and Beyonce. Two fucking Canadians and the greatest female entertainer to ever exist.

The rest of these motherfuckers basically one bad day away from selling ass in Dubai with Ashanti.
The chitlin circuit ain't bad though. Its blacks supporting blacks. Roland Martin and Corey Holcomb along with others are killing it. Cam and Mase got a great deal along with support on their YT channel.

Bitch ass Shitlock tried to get at Corey for being in the Chitlin Circuit, but Corey does his own thing and is his own boss while Shitlock works for white man and still failing dispite kissing all that white ass.

I could argue with so many new/young actresses in the game, I don’t need to pay TPH more (but again I don’t know the pricing)

Or maybe they need to stop spending like they got it like that. If I know I'm gettin' $500k for a role and I might only get work every other year or so, then I'mma make sure that shit is finna last as long as possible. I'm dressing like a normal cat, driving a normal car, living in a normal crib. Fuck what them Hollywood types think about it.

Every movie cant just be a buncha youngins. You still need older actors/actresses. And those up and coming folks might not have the saw name recognition or draw as more established folks do

People got beef with Tyler Perry because he's a plantation owner essentially. All his movies and TV shows got horrible plots, set design and costumes.

So that means any Black actors in his shit, automatically gonna be devalued and there aren't that many gigs for Black actors.

People gotta remember that Jewish bankers, accountants and lawyers built Hollywood. It wasn't talent that built Hollywood. Now it's tech billionaires that control Hollywood.

We don't have enough regular rich Black people to build a Hollywood of our own, we always gonna be talent and talent will never have the same power as the people that control who gets paid.

The problem is that we see the entertainment industry as a way to get out of whatever situation we are in, and then we idolize people that basically are employees for people that went to college, got a regular ass job, made connections, grinded for years at a regular ass job, then got enough social capital and work experience to build a business and fell into content creation as an expansion of their business.

No, we wanna be on the screen and not a regular ass behind the scenes person. Lol, like we got so called "Black millionaires" from doing regular shit that are 40 plus that wanna be star podcasters and interviewers on YouTube.

We will always be addicted to and desire celebrity to our own detriment.

teyonah parris
Zazie beetz
Naomie Harris
Issa rae
Janelle monae
Zoe kravitz
Leticia Wright
Keke Palmer
Tessa Thompson
Ayo Edebiri

Just to name a few off the dome are all younger actresses that you can pay instead of TPH though. And when I say young, I mean younger than her.

As far as roles, I’m saying there’s cheaper women even at 50 years old you can go to over TPH

they dope. But who you gon cast as the older lady in the film when its needed lol thats all im sayin.

You need talent across the age spectrum. I dont feel like Taraji is even competing for the same roles as the people you mentioned at this point of her career

My point is the demand is lower for someone like TPH now

Also nobody is casting her to be the lead for something good at this point

Why cast TPH when I can cast Zoe Saldana?

Nobody needs to build a Hollywood to take their money and fund their own projects. That was my point about TP. Nothing is stopping other black people from doing that. That was how Rock-A-Fella records among others were started. Black people continuing to cry is not changing anything. Either you do your own thing or you except your position.

I ain't gonna lie, it do be killing me when Black celebrities be like,

"I worked so hard, I got this award, I got that award, it ain't fair."

And I really wanna say, "You think them White people around you get paid that much money because of hard work and awards? Lol, if your brother helped you get 20 million a movie, you gonna give your nephew at least 10."

Lol, like when we stop thinking financial success in America is due to excellence, instead of it being due to kinship and friendship ties throughout an industry?

Mediocre Americans get rich every damn day just because knew somebody, was willing to take a risk and was in the right place.

Awards, talent, excellence only mean shit to the talentless. It don't mean shit to people that writing check.

People pick who they like, who they respect and who they wanna fuck.

Which is part of her problem. She put her self in a box with just being an actress after years in the industry. People have to adapt of get left behind.

That’s not an American or white thing.

I’ve never seen so much victim blaming in my life, smh.

TPH was in Benjamin Button with Brad Pitt and killed that shit. Just because she’s not being offered better roles doesn’t mean she’s a bad actor. She’s taking what she’s offered to sustain her life.

Instead of attacking her for being fucked over by a fucked up system why don’t we attack the system?

Name a black actress that’s getting the due she deserves? Name one with a similar career trajectory as a Margot Robbie for instance. Just one.

She’s the one keeping status quo

Change don’t happen unless you take a stand, instead she’s taking the check.

Roc-a-fella Records only made 2 motherfuckers rich and where is it now? Jay Z went to Def Jam for a reason, Roc-fella wasn't shit.

That's what I am saying.

Yes, you do need to have your own Hollywood to create your own projects. Who is gonna produce it, who is gonna direct it, who is going to cast it, where you gonna screen it and who is gonna watch it and who is gonna value it?

There's a reason why there's a disproportionate amount of Jewish directors, screenwriters, and movie producers compared to actors.

The Jews got together and made shit that they like and value yet had mass appeal to sell. So when Jewish kids look at the credits they see themselves making something that great.

And they can control what they wanna sale because they are in control of the overall infrastructure. You can't even name a Black superstar movie producer, that just produces movies. Black people gotta be the director, actor, and the producer and we think that's dope.

The problem with Black American media is that it lacks prestige and mass appeal. Outside of slave movies and Black pain porn, nobody really gives a fuck about Black American TV shows and movies. The system don't even care to cast actual Black Americans anymore.

Then when it comes time to get paid, Black actors gonna get hit with a couple thousand dollars and get told to kick rocks.

White TV and movie execs know Tyler Perry and Lee Daniels ain't paying nobody. Taraji has worked mostly with them two, of course she isn't gonna get paid what she is worth on top of being on a shitty ass project.

Lol, who is the best Black talent in Hollywood right now that is telling their own stories with critical acclaim and mass appeal? Donald Glover. That's about it.

Commercial art requires education, wealth and business infrastructure. You can't make shit with critical acclaim and mass appeal without it. Black Americans don't have it and we will never will have it because we are poor surrounded by motherfuckers with long money.

And we when do have a motherfucker with the guts and guile to do something about it, we end up with Tyler Perrys and P. Diddys and Jay Zs that copy all the business practices that create the same conditions.
