What Are You Cooking for Dinner Tonight??

Got the grill going today usual items in the grill. Shrimp, pineapple and peach jerk wings, turkey smoke sausage, salmon and lamb chops

any of yall let chicken sit in buttermilk for a while to tenderize it before cooking? I've heard folks do it before and even tried it but never really noticed much of a difference personally

I've done it and fried it also used yogurt then grilled it. With buttermilk you'll have to add season and hot sauce. With the yogurt it was a waste of time for real. It tasted ok but not worth the mess with yogurt

This made me think tho..weather has been nasty out lately and the temp been dropping. Was thinking about making some chili(wit ground turkey).

I already have my own recipe for the most part but was looking around for some inspiration. What is this nonsense about chili without beans? Thats a thing?

Dope for trying something new! I need to start experimenting some more my damn self.

Cant goat you for the pork tho but salute 🤣
Thank you. I bought some chili mix and beans. That’s next on my list! It’s soup weather, finally.

Chili with no beans is a thing and common. At least it is down here. My momma isn’t a fan of beans with chili lol.

Since I cut out beef at the beginning of year I have dreaded this cold season cause I usually make a big pot of chili atleast 3 times. But yea some areas do chili without the beans hell that's just a sloppy how if you ask me.
But I'll be using ground turkey and maybe some type of sausage turkey sausage that is.
