The Official MCU Thread

I think cap, iron man and of course vision all are possible. Iron man was their first movies in this saga so it makes sense to bring it full circle with him dying. That makes room for the next phase

Similar with Cap. I could see him sacrificing himself.

Right now me and wifey got beef. I say Tony is outta here and she talmbout naw its Hulk. Lol! Seriously? Aint happenin my man Hulk can't die.

Still going with Spider-Man as a casualty. Doesn't look good for either Cap or Tony either. Even Strange is looking like he could get got lol.

Chris Evans Prepares For Life After Captain America

Like an aging, veteran quarterback walking away on his own terms -- after a Super Bowl victory in his final season -- it appears that Chris Evans' time as Captain America, leader of The Avengers team, is going to come to a close with him going out on top. But only after the two biggest box office wins in Marvel history, of course.

In an interview with the New York Times, Evans said that he is done filming his scenes, baring re-shoots, for the sequel to Avengers: Infinity War. It is the last of his contractually obligated movies for the Marvel Cinematic Universe; it may also be his last in the red, white, and blue.

"You want to get off the train before they push you off," he said.

Evans has been the the catalyst for expansion in the super hero genre since he first appeared in the 2011 release of Captain America: The First Avenger and has had played a role in every subsequent year for nearly a decade since.

He was a central piece in Marvel's The Avengers (2012); had a brief appearance in Thor: The Dark World (2013), before starring in Captain America: Winter Soldier (2014) and Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015). He made an appearance in the post-credit scene in Ant-Man (2015); lead the way in Captain America: Civil War (2016) and then had another brief appearance in Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017). Evans will soon be in Avengers: Infinity War on April 27, 2018 and then reprising the role again in the currently untitled sequel for 2019.

The incredible rise to stardom from his early days as just a pretty face with an impressive physique -- yes, Jake Wyler from Not Another Teen Movie!, we remember you -- to an ill-fated entrance in the genre as Johnny Storm in 2005's Fantastic Four, has not been lost on Evans as he reflects back on what was, while also looking ahead to future projects.

He told the paper that he was neither anxious nor concerned about what comes next for him, even as it may mean retiring his shield.

"I used to have thoughts of wanting to climb to the top of something, or wanting to be somebody," he said. "But when you get the thing that you think you want and then you wake up and realize that you still have pockets of sadness, and that your struggle will reinvent itself, you stop chasing after those things and it is liberating, because you realize that right here, right now, is exactly all I need."

'Avengers: Infinity War' Writer Says "You Have No Idea What Avengers 4 Is"

While everyone pores over the trailers and interviews for Avengers: Infinity War, it's ok to forget that there's a whole different movie coming out just one year later, capping off the first decade of Marvel Studios movies.

Some people have speculated over the plot of the untitled Avengers movie, which was previously going to be Avengers: Infinity War Part 2. But screenwriter Stephen McFeely has been keeping up with the online theories, and is confident in stating that NO ONE has come close to figuring it out.

"We know pretty much what’s going on in Avengers 3," McFeely said "You’ve been told who’s the bad guy and what he wants for several movies and it’s not going to change: that’s what’s going to happen. You run it in the best possible way with twists along the way, but you have no idea what Avengers 4 is."

It seems like the untitled sequel will continue the narrative established in Avengers: Infinity War, but that the filmmakers have made sure that the two movies will stand on their own.

"Nobody knows, and that’s what makes me particularly excited. I look all the time on the internet: people have no idea!" said McFeely. "[Avengers] 4 resolves the intrigue of Infinity War; [the movies are] clearly linked, but they almost seem to belong to two different genres. We did not want to cut a film in half and say, 'Pay now and come back in a year for the rest!' These are two very different stories, on a tonal and structural level."

ComicBook.com also spoke with McFeely and his writing partner Christopher Markus on the set of Infinity War, where they spoke about how the two movies will be distinctly different.

"It does not feel like you hit pause and then unpaused it," Markus said. "It is two very different [movies]."

Co-director Joe Russo spoke about the movies differences in a way that Marvel Comics fans should be intimately familiar with.

"We look in a way that you would look at writers in comic books," Russo said. "People pick up different runs, and they go with it. If there are things from mythology that you are inspired by or you find relevancy in, you go with that. If there are things in mythology that you want to see differently, then you explore ways to execute it differently."

Fans will learn more about the untitled sequel after Avengers: Infinity War premieres in theaters on April 27th.

Also, some pretty fucking crazy rumors going on.

Rumors are saying that Marvel has snuck in Captain Marvel into Infinity War

The bigger rumor is that some movie website listed a dude as "Silver Surfer".

People are saying that back before Daredevil and the netflix crew reverted back to marvel, Kevin Feige offered Daredevil to FOX in exchange for the rights to Galactus and Silver Surfer. FOX declined, but deals between the studios have happened before. Thats how Marvel Studios was able to use Ego, Quicksilver, and the Skrulls among other characters. Of course it could just be someone fucking with us, but we will just have to wait and see. Theories are saying that the Thanos story may lead to a visit from the Silver Surfer after the planet has been weakened and Avengers 4 may include a visit from Galactus and begin Phase 4. Multiple reps for Marvel have stated that Phase 4 will definitely be more "Cosmic" and out in space.

1 more month until we find out!

'Civil War' Affects 'Avengers: Infinity War' In Major Ways

While Thanos will unquestionably be the focus of Avengers: Infinity War, don't think that the events of Civil War will be pushed to the sidelines.

That film essentially split the Avengers right down the middle, and Infinity War writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely explained to ComicBook.com's Brandon Davis at a recent set visit just how much that influences the characters of Infinity War.

"That is something we didn’t want to blow off," Markus said. "Didn’t want to devalue Civil War by having a phone call saying, “Let’s all get back together because there’s an even worse guy.” Nah, everything’s fine now. So we dragged that a long way through it so that we are valuing the resentments we’ve built up between these characters."

"They’re ill-prepared to handle this," McFeely said, with Markus adding "Yeah. And it shows."

This film will end up pairing some unlikely heroes together, and that chaffing of personalities is kind of where the fun is.

"We talked a lot about, it’s a Joe Russo term, “strange alchemy”. What is it when you put the two characters together, even in a fairly normal traditional situation, but since we’ve invested in those characters and known them, we sort of delighted in the idea of those two people rubbing against each other. So, we always chased “delight” – and terror. Lots of terror," McFeely said.

Markus and McFeely are also fully aware of the history before Civil War, which will present itself in interesting ways throughout Infinity War.

"And there’s also…we’re coming off Civil War," Markus said. "We’re coming off Winter Soldier. So that’s there’s lots of backstory that still needs to play out in addition to the Thanos situation. Like, I just walked by Sebastian Stan out there. You could put Bucky in a room with anybody and they’re going to say, “Oh sh*t! He’s a maniac.” He’s shot Natasha [Romanoff] twice as far as I can keep count, so it’s going to be interesting."

This film is certainly ambitious, but the Marvel Studios team has yet to really miss, so hopes are high they'll knock this one out of the park too.

Fans can still enjoy Black Panther, which is in theaters now. Avengers: Infinity War lands in theaters on April 27, and Ant-Man and The Wasp soars into theaters on July 6. Captain Marvel hits theaters on March 8, 2019, followed by Avengers 4 on May 3, 2019.

Here's An In-Depth Look At The Rumored (And Sure To Be Controversial) Plot Leak For VENOM

An entire plot outline for Venom has found its way online so we've broken it down for you to delve into all the biggest twists and turns and it's fair to say that if this is accurate, the movie will bomb!

Venom.jpg

Ever since superhero movies became one of the hottest commodities in Hollywood, they've been plagued by plot leaks which have found their way online. Some of those are accurate and others are quickly dismissed as total BS but the plot outline which is currently doing the rounds for Venom is definitely interesting. It's also very easy to believe and lines up with a lot else we've been hearing.

Now, there's no guarantee this is legit and we'll leave you all to make your mind up on that but it still leaves us with plenty to talk about and is, unfortunately, sure to upset a lot of comic book fans.

Director Ruben Fleischer and star Tom Hardy have promised that Venom will make fans happy but they're either towing the company line or completely disconnected to what fans want from this character. Anyway, you can check out the full (rumoured) breakdown of Venom's plot by clicking below and once you've done that, feel free to let us know your thoughts on it in the comments section.

Eddie Brock Is An Ex-Con

landscape-1464972747-venom.jpg

Venom reportedly begins with Eddie being released from prison on early parole. There's no word on what he's in for or if he was still a journalist once upon a time but this is obviously a departure from the comics. Sure, the villain spent many years in and out of prison but before that, he was a mostly honest reporter who only turned on the world when Peter Parker/Spider-Man outed him as a fraud.

Eddie's Relationship With His Family

venom-female-she-venom-spider-man-ann-weying.jpg

We know that Eddie's wife (played by Michelle Williams) will be making an appearance in Venom but apparently, he has a daughter too! She doesn't recognise her dad when they cross paths again and it sounds like the movie is going to deliver a pretty cliched story when it comes to how things play out.

The government will use them to try and get to Eddie and he'll ultimately save them. Does any of that sound familiar? Well, it should because it's the plot of pretty much a hundred other movies out there!

How Eddie Becomes Venom

Venom_1.jpg

Devastated that his daughter didn't recognise him, Eddie goes on a bender and ends up passing out in the woods. While he sleeps, space debris lands nearby and the symbiote emerges from the wreckage and ends up bonding with him. The government arrives to quarantine the crash site and a second symbiote attacks a scientist while a third is captured. Eddie, meanwhile, attempts to escape the area but winds up being captured and taken into custody as he's stumbled on something he shouldn't have.

A Second Symbiote

Spider-_Man-never-defeated-_Carnage.jpg

While the government scientists are exploring the wreckage, a second symbiote appears and bonds with someone. However, he ends up dying but the alien remains hidden in his body (unbeknownst to everyone else). This comes into play later in a very weird and seemingly nonsensical manner...

The Symbiote Manifests Its Powers
Venom-1.jpg

The movie's villainous scientists - presumably The Life Foundation - start performing experiments on Eddie and the symbiote eventually makes itself known and kills a bunch of them leading to the ex-con attempting to escape the facility. As he does, the alien starts showing off its powers, including dozens of arms/tendrils which take out the guards and help Eddie makes his way to San Francisco.

What Venom Looks Like
New-_Venom-_Comic-_Fire.jpg

Apparently, the symbiote manifests itself as black veins on Eddie's arms and neck and only actually makes a physical appearance as the extra limbs mentioned above. There is, of course, precedent for that in the comic books but this is sure to disappoint fans hoping that a movie titled Venom would actually feature a lot of Venom. Then again, this explains why he was nowhere to be seen in the teaser.

Car Chase
venom-mac-gargan-scorpion.jpg

Finding the government waiting for him at his wife and child's home, Eddie once again goes on the run and what follows is a car chase which sees him manifest a shield using the symbiote that he uses to knock cars out of his way. However, after learning that the government has his family, he's forced to go back into custody where it turns out a third symbiote has been placed in containment.

The Final Battle
Flash-_Thompson-as-_Agent-_Venom.jpg

When Eddie's Venom symbiote sees that third symbiote, it loses it and finally forms the costume from the comic books over him. The alien in containment breaks free, takes over the scientist, and it's on!

It's not made clear if this is the Carnage symbiote but we know from the source material that these aliens have their own personalities back on their homeworld, so there's a very good chance these two are enemies, hence why the fight breaks out. Either way, Venom makes short work of the scientist he does battle with and as we mentioned above, Eddie and his family are able to escape.

Weird Sequel Set Up
Spider-_Man-never-defeated-_Carnage.jpg

Right at the end of the movie, that dead scientist who was taken over by a second symbiote is revealed to be alive. This scene clearly takes place to set up a sequel but why should we care? This plot leak doesn't make that clear but with no chance of Spider-Man showing up, Venom is going to need someone to do battle with and that's presumably why this symbiote is shown to be alive and kicking.

So, What's The Verdict?
Venom-1-close-up-_Marvel.jpg

This supposed leaker claims that Venom only actually shows up for around two minutes during the final fight. Rumour has it that the movie has a very modest budget so this does make sense but Sony has to know that this is going to lead to a lot of criticism and disappointment among fans.

Then again, the movie is being produced by Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach, a team with very...unique...ideas about the Spider-Man franchise, hence why The Amazing Spider-Man movies went down such a bizarre route. With that in mind, the two of them doing this with Venom really wouldn't be that much of a shocker and if this leak is accurate, Venom being a flop is pretty much guaranteed...

In the new infinity war trailer you can see cap and crew greet tchalla. In the back is scarlet witch holding up an injured vision. I think that whoever tried stealing the stone from vision, failed so they bring him to wakanda and surri finds a way to remove the stone safely from visions head as you can see her working on him in a brief scene. With the stone removed that may be what begins the invasion of wakanda.

I think it was Black Dwarf from Black Order that was trying to take the stone out of Vision's head in the first trailer
