If you're talking their influence over their audience that's completely separate from the "hip hop is all evil" pov. Because nobody has denied that there's an influence. The debate is how much and under what circumstances. I said this to you in another thread a few days ago. Things are rarely absolute in the way some of yall want to make them. There's always varying degrees of nuance that needs to be considered. The whole basis of this was the dumbass "99%" comment that stripped all of that. The "rap music made me do it" blame doesn't work in court for a reason.

2 years ago I had and 8 year on the team claiming he’s a blood. He lived with his grandma and was always rapping at practice talking about he’s going to be a football player or rapper like Lil Baby

Can't point fingers at music when that's just audio...you're not saying shit about movies and television which is visual and audio. How does something that you SEE and hear have less effect on people than something that you only hear huh?... But it's not the movies or TV either..again, it's people and when it comes to the Black community... it's white people practicing white supremacy that creates the negative activity that unfortunately filters through hip hop, but its not BECAUSE of hip hop... the crux of everything always circles back to oppression. We have limited resources in our community. That lack creates natural animosity.. If there was no oppression hip hop would just be party music. Hip hop/rap/music/art is just a vehicle. Its never the driver.
