What doesn't make sense to me, is that the dems know they have a problem with the black vote..........black male voters in particular........yet, they don't seem to be willing to do anything about it.

Says a lot that they know they have a problem, but aren't putting in any effort at all to solve it.

Thing is, there is no middle ground.

It's all about reparations, but they're too scared to go down that road because it would alienate too many white people.

So, no reparations............no vote.

We don't get what we want, none of these other groups get what they want either.

It's only a matter of time before the affirmative action ruling for colleges is applied to the job market.

You saw how all those sisters got fired from those DEI (diversity/equity/inclusion) positions.

Immigrants/Asylum seekers flooding black communities.

Some of them rumored to be offered jobs as police officers.

What's happening with them in Chicago.....D.C........and New York is the plan the dems have for black communities across the country.

So, I'm hoping that them losing in 2024 will stop this from happening...........or at least slow it down long enough for a plan to be put in motion to stop it.

They actually are worried about getting the black vote.

Well, to what you're saying........they might not be worried about black people going to a different party.

But they are worried they won't get enough black votes to stay in power.

On the surface, it seems like the same thing..........but that's not necessarily true.

Meaning, just because black people might not vote republican or go to another party.........it doesn't mean they're gonna show up in droves for the democratic party like they have in the past.



Had a similar discussion with @Disanthrope a week or so ago.

If you look at last year's elections, a lot of those races were only decided by a percentage point or less.

There were a lot of 50-49.........49-48.......48-47...........etc races.

Herschel Walker almost became a senator.

Election was so close they had to have a recount/run-off election to decide that race.

The point is, given how close last year's races were.............if that pattern holds true in 2024.......it's not going to take an overwhelming number of black votes (or lack thereof) to get them out of power.

All it's gonna take is just enough to push it in favor of the republicans due to the dems not getting enough black votes.

This isn't really accurate. Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation as a military action. He did it mostly because Frederick Douglas and others convinced him that freeing the slaves and allowing them to fight in the war would help the Union win. He did believe that Black people should have moved out of the U.S. after the war and wanted to set up a colony in Central America. He even pushed that idea to some freed black leaders at the time, but they all refused because they believed that Black people deserved to live and thrive in America given everything they had suffered during slavery. By the time he signed the Emancipation, Lincoln had no expectation that Black people were just going to up and be relocated.

Black people might have been better off setting up their own colony in Central America if the U.S. was going to support it the way they support Israel, but we know that wouldn't have happened. So, it would have just been a western hemisphere version of Liberia with the Black colonist constantly beefing with the natives of whatever country the U.S. pushed black people to.

The Dems are trash, but there are tons of differences between them and the Reps.

The Reps are out here ending abortion and fighting legalization of weed even though the majority of the country wants both. The Dems aren't doing that. The Reps deny pandemics and climate change. The Dems don't do that. The Reps are against black history, measures that will disproportionately help black people like criminal justice reform, and anything that they believe will help black people rise above the poor position we've been put in (e.g., affirmative action and reparations). The Dems aren't.
