We had lil kim. Her whole second verse from “no time” was censored on the radio.

lol The problem isn't that it's censored. The problem is that it's trash. Lil Kim is a wack rapper. At least she had enough sense to get good ghost writers. The people be making songs where damn near every line is garbage.

Blaming our age every time we criticize the fact that it seems like the artists don't even put effort into music anymore is a lame copout.

What I’m saying is, the content of that bootyhole brown song ain’t no diff than “my neck my back” from Khia. Me saying Lil Kim’s song was censored had nothing to do with her skill or being a wack rapper. Just pointing out that the content now ain’t much diff from the content then and you acting shocked and disturbed or as if youre hearing it for the first time

Bruh, I'm saying the shit is wack. The quality of the actual music is trash. Yes, hot horny girl music has been around for forever, but the chicks doing it before (or at least their ghostwriters) were better. That what you don't seem to be getting. I'm not talking about the content. I'm talking about the quality of it. I'm not shocked or disturbed because broads are talking nasty on songs. Shit is just trash to me.

Shit was trash then too. Its for the hoes and dudes in the clubs. The older folks get the more foreign the new shit is going to be to them. Its club music and has its place.
 
I agree with Eyerone, rap really a young folks genre. The older you get naturally the more it can be off putting expecially over 40 or you take it for what it is like in the club, riding around turning up, or in a casual setting with folks having fun... it is what it is.

Mfs just getting old and distant to whats in now. I do think there is alot of trash artist in general but they always been out there in every generation.

I won't argue with that either. I never liked music from Kim, Trina, or any of them other broads. At the end of the day, those chicks could deliver bars from time to time. Some of these songs that I hear now give me headaches with how dumb they are.

If I was just the old dude hating on younger music, I would just call it trash and leave it at that. lol I actually try these artists a try, but it's just not good to me.

Maybe that's part of the problem. Rap wasn't just riding and party music before. You had rap that was for that. You had rap that was thought provoking. You had rap to get you hype. You had rap with raw ass lyrics that was just fun to listen to. It sounds like your stance is that rap is only good for occasions when you aren't even paying attention to what's being said, and maybe that's the disconnect.

Nah I personally do like some of these younger artist like a 21 Savage/EST Gee and I also like some dope lyrical shit like J. Cole, Kendrick, and Griselda. Ima fan of both sides, ignant and thought provoking rap. All im saying is rap in general has become a youth genre and speaks to the youth more then ever. Yeah Rap might of had heavy older heads in the 80s and 90s on lock but its clear as day what its aimed at and speaks to more these days. Hell even Cole, Drake, and Kendrick fw alot of these younger cats records knowing they make the complete opposite music because the fan base is filled with teenagers and young adults who support and control whats hot or bubbling.

Khia damn there gave my mom a heart attack in the early 2000s and to me these ratchet sex songs of now is no different.

There's plenty of good music being put out today though. You ain't supposed to be listening to "bootyhole" rap is all.

That's probably true, but that's what these streaming sites curate as modern rap. Spotify gives good suggestions for every other genre, but when it comes to modern rap, all you going to get is bootyhole rap from chicks and a thousand dudes that all rap the same about the same exact shit.

You gotta stick to personalized mixes my man. Just search 2020s mix and you're get all the current music that fits your music profile.

Just search out a personalized mix that suits your interests and skip the shit that ain't for you.
