My GrandAunt is like this..

I was over at her house to pick up my mother who had stayed there for the day with her.

She just starts telling wild stories about my mother like we are talking about the weather outside. Funny shit was it explained so much unanswered or unknown questions i had about shit.

So while she’s telling the stories and they get wilder and wilder, I’m look at my mom and my mother is looking at the tv, she refuses to make eye contact. She must’ve went to her happy place..lol

Then…then, she tells a story about how my grandmother was in a relationship with a lieutenant for Nicky Barnes, and she cheated on duke, so dude barricaded the front door and the back door shut and set the house on fire.

So my grandmother, my uncles, my mom, and aunts had to bus the window open and crawl out the windows. So when they got out and were running down the street. Dude was at the top of the street wit a Cuban in his mouth shooting at them with a revolver..lol

And she’s just telling this story like it’s some basic shit.

And the dude that my grandmother cheated on dude wit was some lower level dude that they he found out cause she went to jail for fighting that guy’s girlfriend. And that led to my grand uncle getting beat up, kidnapped and drove around in the trunk of a car..

And it’s like wilder than that but I can’t remember the details in the right sequence. Whole time my mother just looking straight ahead.
 
Also I found out some fucked up shit from folk from that era.

When a woman had a kid that was a girl, and the woman get married as a single mom to a guy.

The girl would normally go get raised by the grandparents, cause you couldn’t trust what a man would do wit a girl in the house that wasn’t his blood.

And that shit was just normal, and that’s why you got aunts that closer to their grandmothers than they are to their mothers.

Our elders was on some other shit
