If u live anywhere near the Gullah Island or whatever itā€™s called Iā€™m trying to go there this yr
Thatā€™s not really a real thing per say..itā€™s an African Village just outside Beaufort. I pass it all the time when I visit a job site in Ridgeland. If you happen to be in town around that time, Iā€™ll set up to be in Ridgeland and we can go have a drink in Beaufort and sit and chat on the waterfront.

oh and itā€™s not an island it just near Seabrook Island..so they co op the island part..but itā€™s still like..20 to 30 miles from Seabrook island I think

Iā€™m thinking either June or August

If itā€™s anything like Vegas in Augustā€¦. I ainā€™t fucking w it

Vegas heat has far less humidity, but it kinda don't matter at that time of the year. When the temps hit 113+ and that sun literally makes your skin feel like it's on fire, humidity just don't mean shit.

Pre Covid I used to hit Vegas for a weekend in August

i swear as soon as I got off the planeā€¦. Shirt was instantly soaked w sweat

I asked a friend who lived in Arizona to describe what itā€™s like to have no humidity but it be hot. He said the main difference is with dry heat you can go in the shade and be cooled. With SC heat, you can go outside at 2 am and sweat your balls off walking down the street

Um... yeah, that ain't even remotely true. I lived in Phoenix for 8 years before we moved to Vegas. When it's 120 degrees outside, the only thing shade does is keep the sun outta your eyes. Damn that.

I really want to experience it one day, my bucket list is to see the Grand Canyon

Now see, the Grand Canyon is completely different. That's high country, well over a mile in elevation, it fuckin snows up thataway. The temps in The Grand Canyon ain't got nothing to do with Phoenix temps.
