OPINION Is Marvel's Black Panther movie really a "special moment" for Black America??

I don't follow at all thays why I asked

with practically anything in life, YES, including a movie about a fictitious character, in a fictitious country in africa, there are gonna be segments of the population that go overboard with shit

ex...a gofundme to go visit wakanda

ya'll some bright ass people and are admittedly getting trolled by the shit and you are looking at us crazy? That small subset of the population doesnt represent the thoughts of everyone

there are people have been waiting for this movie for years now

there are people who are glad to see an all black cast in a triple A movie

there are people who want to see how this movie impacts Infinity Wars

and NONE of these people are on the shit that the memes represent...yet, here we are, for 30 pages talking about this subset of people and why they have people like you and Du outraged. I'm not talking about a slight exaggeration (at least i consider it to be) with the latest video posted on the last page, but im talking full out people talking about this movie gon spark the revolution. WHY ARE YA'LL GIVING THEM SHINE??

If they on ya timelines, mute/block them.

simple as that

no

no

no

@Playmaker88 was telling you for pages that you keep trying to let those people represent everyone else. Those memes are wack...and you posted them, so by your definition, you enabled them too

You said all that yo ignore the fact that that African gentleman really said this movie is gonna be as a catalyst to fight racism.

Splain that one for me

"nigs gon nig"

but i dont consider his response nearly as extreme as the ones that have been a catalyst for Du

Maybe some of you should take a look at the folk you follow...and look at what they like retweet and talk about...

Also the very same thing some of y'all are doing in regards to this movie and the reaction is synonymous with WHAT others do in other cases regarding us.. and we push back on that shit rightly..

This? It doesn't explain much to me
did you click the image in the tweet fam?

its an excerpt from the article, specifically the intro to the article that explains why this movie is a good look for black america, from a cinematic pov
