Welcome To aBlackWeb

I don’t think they’ll ever introduce a lot of villains…including Galactus or Mephisto.

it’s too much to explain in one movie

Who says that they have to cover it in one movie.

Also according to Wikipedia, he has a bunch of different versions from a bunch of different storylines they use.

Movie was solid but kinda unnecessary. I thought there would be more glue to it as far as the entire mcu goes. They could have just kept this shit.
Can you really say there isn’t much glue here if you don’t know what’s coming afterwards yet?

Maybe. There were very little connections made outside of the fact their super aware of the avengers, thanos and everything happening around them. I guess I went in with the expectation that there would be a lot more connective tissue since they were there from the beginning.

I enjoyed it for what it was regardless.

Here’s a question.

what year do you expect them to introduce these characters considering all that’s on the schedule right now?

2027?

if ALL this shit is leading up to the Secret Wars, I don’t think they have the time to do justice to a lot of things

Even though I agree with this I can also understand why someone would feel like it was unnecessary.

Before it’s release they hyped it up as the movie that “changes everything we thought we know about the MCU & will establish major plot points going forward” and I didn’t walk away from this with that feeling at all.
Its as if they removed some big plot point.

Its not like we have an understanding of the origins of Vibranium & where exactly it came from or it touched on the origins of the multiverse… shit it didn’t even give us mutant origins.

Its cool we have some background on the cosmic origins & the celestial but realistically that could have been given as a Disney+ show as opposed to a near 3 hour movie. The only thing it seems niggas are wondering about is Thanos exact background & whether or not he’s a robot. One takeaway I got is that Thanos might have known about the Emergence which further establishes that he was right all along in his mission lol

Yeah I feel you and you could be right but sersi stopping the emergence could cause a chain reaction in ways we might not even think yet

let’s just hope it does

You don't think them erasing humanities popular religions and saying "these are your actual Gods" is major?

Not really bruh….
This just makes me think of that scene where Star Lord goes “what master do I serve? Am I supposed to say Jesus?” Lmao

Yeah I was definitely expecting something on the mutant origins end and nothing lol. That said coming in I was completely clueless to who or what the eternals even were.

Lol at marvel making a movie about nothing of consequence and it still being better and more cohesive than most of dceu drivel.

I mean we just started phase 4 and they only got movies scheduled for release til sometime next year. Some of them could like FF.

They could introduce them in numerous movies that don’t even have dates yet. if

X-Men
Eternals 2
Ten Rings 2
GOTG 3
Doctor Strange 3(if they do a 3rd)
BP 3
Cap Marvel 2

To be far they could just give you the "what you need ". The same way they did with Thanos. They didn't really give you a deep dive into his character. And for the most part people was fine with that.

The bold is superfacts!!!

I guess something we could speculate on is the destruction that came about due to the Emergence sets up Namor. Maybe that was the “big set up” they were teasing. But this movie otherwise doesn’t make me care for more Eternals at all.

I really enjoyed this movie and I respect that it deviated from the usual quippy one liner shit the MCU has over relied upon.

For a character line up and plot I knew absolutely nothing about, they executed it well. The worst part in my opinion were the less than subtle references to the MCU and DC.

7/10
