I was watching it thinking, I don't know if I'm cool with this depiction of Kang. Dude is a little too eccentric, quirky even, but then bruh basically told us :

You notice they never really dropped the name. We're not supposed to see him as Kang. He's just the guy that was protecting the universe from Kang.

This was a dope episode and a dope intro for the next Big Bad.

The only thing I kinda dislike about it is that this episode basically makes Kang out to be the supreme being in the multiverse. I mean he is really just a guy, but he was able to put himself in a position where he literally controlled the entire multiverse. That's going to take a little shine from cosmic entities like the Celestials and Galactus when they appear. At the end of the day, they've all been fodder for Kang too.

Also, it would have been damn near impossible to do this, but imagine how dope it would have been if they could have somehow worked it to reveal that Thanos' Quest didn't really have anything to do with a shortage of resources but was instead all about stopping the eventual rise of Kang in that timeline.

Basically Immortus, even if he never referred to himself by that name. Immortus is who Kang becomes later in life.
