Dos really just be asking for self accountability first but that’s not how the internet especially black internet works

let me give you an example... in the Kamala Harris / Nina Simone

niggas kicked off the thread saying Kamala is a coon for blocking the family access to Nina s estate, I make the valid point of that had the daughter not fucked up and misappropriated funds in the first place, there would not have been a reason for Kamala s involvement.... niggas like well she still blocked the family s access to the estate ....

Niggas don’t wanna hear that part tho they just wanna run w their narratives

Sam Wilson, AKA The new Captain America, is a coon and a modern representation of Black people who suffer the effects of American white racism while seeking to exempt America from its role in white racism just to be accepted by those whose hands they suffer from.

I'll have that debate all day long. And while the word is often misused, it still maintains its definition. So you "Oh it's used too much so it don't mean anything" folk need to sit this one out and stop looking for a way to coon without being called out.

Bit of a read, but not a crazy amount

The coon caricature is one of the most insulting of all anti-black caricatures. The name itself, an abbreviation of raccoon, is dehumanizing. As with Sambo, the coon was portrayed as a lazy, easily frightened, chronically idle, inarticulate, buffoon. The coon differed from the Sambo in subtle but important ways. Sambo was depicted as a perpetual child, not capable of living as an independent adult. The coon acted childish, but he was an adult; albeit a good-for-little adult. Sambo was portrayed as a loyal and contented servant. Indeed, Sambo was offered as a defense for slavery and segregation. How bad could these institutions have been, asked the racialists, if blacks were contented, even happy, being servants? The coon, although he often worked as a servant, was not happy with his status. He was, simply, too lazy or too cynical to attempt to change his lowly position. Also, by the 1900s, Sambo was identified with older, docile blacks who accepted Jim Crow laws and etiquette; whereas coons were increasingly identified with young, urban blacks who disrespected whites. Stated differently, the coon was a Sambo gone bad.

The prototypical movie coon was Stepin Fetchit, the slow-talking, slow-walking, self-demeaning nitwit. It took his character almost a minute to say: "I'se be catchin' ma feets nah, Boss." Donald Bogle (1994), a cinema historian, lambasted the coon, as played by Stepin Fetchit and others:

Before its death, the coon developed into the most blatantly degrading of all black stereotypes. The pure coons emerged as no-account niggers, those unreliable, crazy, lazy, subhuman creatures good for nothing more than eating watermelons, stealing chickens, shooting crap, or butchering the English language. (p. 8)

I dont really use the word coon like that personally. I'd say Candace Owens off the top would fit that description... Id call her a sellout before I call her a coon tho

and that’s all it is. That’s why i say the nigga don’t get it.

why we need white cops coming to handle us?

niggas don’t even realize they saying we need policing but just don’t kill us.
im saying why can’t we eliminate police involvement by being OGs and adults and making our community feel protected while regulating fuck shit?

anyone going against that ... to me looks funny.
saying we can fix our own community ...that’s a bad thing?
Saying start businesses to employ our own ....is a bad thing?
saying stop killing each other since we got enough against us.....that’s also a bad thing?
Saying if we got hittas....why are chinks and everyone so nonchalant with killing us with no fear of repercussions?

someone tell me where I’m wrong.

I'm gonna see if I can pull an interesting convo out of what I consider to be a ridiculous thread thus far.

At what point did Sam Wilson attempt to make America exempt for its role in white racism?

Same. I rarely ever use that word. But when the word is used around me, she is who my mind immediately conjures up. Shit is like a magic trick. If you want me to think about Candace Owens at any point throughout the day, just say the word 'coon' and BOOM - she appears in my mind.

I'm thinking he's talking about the Marvel Show and not the comics

lol was that not a suitable coondidate in you opinion? lol you just wanna argue fam

you do realize both things can be true right?
inori,
what's your favorite pizza: pepperoni

what's your favorite cookie: chocolate chip

name a coon: Candice

You can only come up with the most obvious go-to answer after being probed several times. That's unbelievable to me

Here's the thing. The people who "overuse" the word are hurt and feel betrayed by their own....

For you to NEVER think about who is out here stabbing us in the back means you are complacent with how things are today. It's what I've been saying about yall for the last 2 years since election season turned up. Yall are not interested in resisting white supremacy. If you fail to identify its black collaborators you're complicit with white supremacy. Going along to get along

I'm sure you've made it through life pretty well this far and don't need my advice for yourself but your "it's not a big deal" mentality that you display on here aint it for the long term well being of black people. Being perpetually passive like that is exactly what your politicans and lawmakers want you to be..
