I mean this is based on tripadvisor reviews... people might be overratiing their local shit because they don't know any better.

Is Franklins legit? I seen something about people waiting in line for 5 hours for that shit.

never been and probably never will but I believe in the man....I have a few of his books and picked up some good info as far as bbq goes....not just the food, but he's breaking down the wood and the smokers and timing and everything....its simple af but deep if that makes sense....you gotta have a love for that shit

but yeah im not even standing 5 hours at the heavenly gates lmao

Columbus a top city, when and how?
Most random place to consider when thinking of bbq

i feel the same but i respect Rodney Scott....another guy i soak up a lot of info from
No clue who he is.

I eat a lot of bbq and I've had a lot of bbq from quite a few of the cities listed. Carolinas are notorious for they own signature style but I went to a few spots in Virginia Beach that had 'Texas style' bbq. Think one of the places I went boasted being from Dallas or some spot in Texas.

Shit like that makes no sense to me if the spots they going to are heavily influenced by another city/state

just a famous bbq guy....he's all over youtube and food network

but yeah i was gonna mention that as well....the cities that dont seem like they would have good food almost always have a place that somebody brought there to revive them....there's New Orleans style restaurants in Colorado...or some guy moves from NY to Utah and opens a sandwich shop

Guy Fieri is from here but surprisingly he doesn't have a spot here or at least one he claims. we got some legendary restaurants here but it's mainly the hood spots that have the best bbq and I doubt whoever made the list went to them... lol

yeah, nah.....people who put reviews on trip advisor are old, on meds, and most likely on vacation

they woke up and had bad coffee at the hotel, then went to the tourist spot for lunch and waited an hour for some so-so food
