What's the deal with people over estimating their quality level?

When you think of the same scenario when it comes to getting a car. You may make 40k a year, you got 5 to 8k to put down on a whip, you are expecting a car note of maybe 250-350 a month.

You go into the dealership with expectations on what you can afford, might get, and willing to work with. You scan that lot for the best of what you are capable to get, feel comfortable with and really like. You take that bitch for a test drive and if you fuck wit it and it fuck wit what you are capable of. Shieeet..brand new whip.

Now how people go into a process like that with sound logic. But leave the house overestimating their "human" budget, their worth. Feel like scanning for what they are capable of is settling?..and.. they think if they get something above what they know they should get based on their worth. That it's gone run like it should run..based on its looks.

If you go to car max and find a Bentley for 8k..you know something wrong wit it..

If you go to the club knowing you a 5 and pull a 10. You know something wrong with it. If you got enough sense to not cop the Bentley at car max..why you shooting for it in the club, or elsewhere.

Come on fam...

My boy the worst for this shit. Thinks coz he tall and gyms, is handsome and has a good education and job that he should automatically be a hit with the baddest of bitches.

On paper, your boy and those "kinda pretty girls" are winning. Those are the superficial attributes that most people seem to covet. So why wouldn't they be feeling themselves if so many other people do?

Coz life experience should teach them you need to be able to talk to people if you wanna win with the opposite sex.

The dude in talkin' about is the worst with girls in our group, that's why I brought him up. And the girls I'm talkin' about only get with loser dudes they aren't really attracted to coz they the only boys they can pull
 
Germs, you're capable of better analogies than this. Cars and humans aren't 1:1, cars depreciate in value quickly, humans usually become better ppl as they age. Secondly, what would be the car equivalent of "he/she has charm and a good personality but...." You know, the things ppl will look past if you make up for it in other areas?

Simply put, confidence. Just because you may call them a 5, dorsnt mean they feel that they are. A great Personality adds some many points to anyone regardless of how they look. If someone may think they are average but know they are a great person, why wouldnt they shoot their shot?

The funniest be the chicks that can't understand why they got cheated on and think they were great girlfriends/wives because they cooked and cleaned. I mean it's dope that you cook and clean. That's increasingly rare these days, but it kinda takes more than that to be a good mate.

I think the point overall is that a little humility is good for everyone. No matter what number you think you are, acting like you're a 10 could cost you. That's true even if you are a legit 10 and moreso if you're not.
