To be honest tho, a lot of folks don't have an issue with NY hip hop.

The issue lies when NY folks don't pay homage to the south, Midwest, or west coast hip hop.

Those regions pay respect b/c they know where it all originated from. But when NY folks don't wanna return the favoir and start trashing the other regions b/c it's not the NY style...then it's a problem.

They be uppity about it. But it hasnt been many new nice rappers in NY in a long time. Asap mob for example have heavy influence from other regions.
