Welcome To aBlackWeb

Question do you guys think this show writing from a LGBT female was going to ruin the show anyways or was it something else that happened. The same thing happened with Empire, it was good at the beginning and it started to fall apart.

All of those LGBT types can't help but to promote their agenda.

It's embedded in their programming.

Same thing with Greg Berlanti and the DC/CW superhero shows.

Also, even though Kevin was being insensitive............there was some truth to what he said about Keisha's situation.
Kevin brought up a great point about the way Keisha was moving prior to the abduction. Dressing like a slut, sleeping around with questionable dudes. I'm not saying that made it okay for her to be abducted but you dont want to bring unnecessary attention onto yourself.

You ever talk to your mom or dad the way Kevin did at that age. I would have been beat into a coma and still be unconscious til this day
Kevin's mom was clueless and oblivious to what was going on in her children's lives. Like a lot of single mothers in the inner city, they are working so much that stopping to make sure their kids are okay isn't a main focus. The kids are practically raising themselves.

Dre not so bad

Damn Keisha bugged out.Got raped and had to kill a nigga.PTSD

They done gave away her scholarship? They need their ass kicked ,nah kicked kicked

They gotta spread some love to keisha.

kev needs his ass whopped

smoking weed in the crib and cursing at moms

I take it that kev and keisha's mom was sexually assaulted too at some point and never got help

Emmitt and keisha are interesting.......

The actress who plays keisha acted her ass off this ep

Damn Jada got molested too...MESSAGE!!!!!

Rusty dusty Ronnie

keisha bout to set the whole bldg on fire like Left Eye

Definitely wasn't keisha's fault.Dude was schemed out no matter what she wore

Kev done shot a nigga and keisha done killed a nigga.Jeez

Ep was powerful

I feel like some whole other writer and director did this ep

I wonder if Lena did this one and does she write all the eps?

Doesn't matter what she wore

That's like saying black men get shot for sagging pants and looking like thugs, but as said before by somebody I can't recall, black men got hung in 3 piece suits

Dude had a fetish for track girls because of his HS crush remember?

whatever happened was his sick problem, not hers.

I done seen plenty half naked to fully naked chicks and I never kidnapped one

Anyone notice that While Ronnie is a supposed "War Hero" he stay getting mollywhop?

In prior seasons when he when to jail they had a Trailer out where he was getting pushed around.

This season he all on the ground in the middle of the street with his church pants on with them double cuffed at the ankles and them mutafuckin Last Stop to WhoVille Dr Seuss boots. Around here pulling up on people thinking he the Black Jason Statham and getting Knocked out Cold like Red on Friday.
That nigga is a drunk

His insides are mud now.

Other than the burning clothes in the bathtub this was a really good episode.

Ain't no black parent letting you smoke up they house with all them burning clothes no matter what the fuck happened to you. Lol.

Poppa an idiot but that was a good way to show triggers to keisha trauma, and things can go from sugar to shit in an instant with her.

Also understand Kevin's frustration. She was out doing fuckshit and got snatched up. He put himself all the way out there to try and find her. Could have got killed. He has the right to be upset. No one really giving af about his trauma. Lil nigga been through alot.

Oh ok.. See I thought they just changed the actress that plays Dre or something until this more masculine one.. But I guess the first did work for the post office now that you say that
Damm word now that you mentioned. The first couple of seasons it was a different chick and then Dre just showed up out of nowhere and married her. I be damm that's when you know things like this is a sign of a show going down hill. Because when they start doing random things like this and not explain it. The show will start to lose it's creditability.

I'm trying my best not to nitpick, but the messages are so heavy handed and forced until it takes away from the show.. You can tell each show what message they are trying to push.. it's amateurish.. I'm not sure what its even about anymore.. 2 questions though that maybe someday can answer.. When did Emmitts mom become so cool with Dre and Kevin's Mom? The first episode of season 1 she didn't know who Keisha was when she was hiding under the bed.. Also how did Sonny go from doing so well that he was opening up another restaurant and wanted Emmitt to manage one, to not being able to pay rent on one location?

I asked the same question about Sonny....major plot hole smh. Now they somehow finessed him outta his shop....then they talkin bad about him in the preview for episode 9..

Honestly the actress playing Kevin and Keisha's mom has given the most honest and best performances this season with this story line. Showing her going through the different emotions and struggles of realizing as a parent you really have no clue who your kids are, and to find that out because your child was abducted can't be easy to deal with. It's no shock she's going between lashing out to crying from depression.

I honestly cut Lena a LOT of slack. She really had monumental task: Continue with a show after the main character is in trouble with the law and has to be ejected from the cast abruptly.

That's usually DEATH for a show. And this is a super ambitious show. The writing this season is awful. But that is to be expected. I honestly feel like the show prolly should make next season the last season and be done with it.
